The Thing about this version that gets me... is its unique and thrilling Rhythmic concept...That slowing down ...to complete halt...the pause ~ then the start up...is just Great...And I am, Jane, the administrator of the group~ The Musicality of bdylan....I am pretty obscessed with dylan.. THE song and dance man...which include his mastery in melody,harmony,rhythm,imaginative instrumentation,his hundreds of v oices ... etc. etc... When I first heard that concept, I took him at his word ~ and put that Sentence is my Pocket. Putting alliterative and profound poetry aside for the moment,,,but not really,,. he is about SOUND.
Performance beginning just after 54:00 in the outdoor stadium was used for the "Hard Rain' album and was the best or some of the best from the Rolling Thunder tour. Bob's singing on 'Idiot Wind' near the end here and the overall performance of the song is perfection. The studio recording of that song on 'Blood on the Tracks' is excellent but the live performance ratchets up the intensity to another level.

This is the Clearwater and the Colorado concerts joined together, not bad quality to boot. I've always wondered why Mick Ronson left the stage in the Clearwater concert. Like a Rolling Stone in particular suffers from the lack of Ronson's guitar.

That's the third time I've listened to this fantastic show and I loved it so much! What a wonderful feeling to hear and see Bob Dylan"s performance!! I'll never get tired of these gorgeous songs sung by this Genius!
I wish wish to God I was just ten years older to see him.. and I am praying I can go to see him now when he comes back to the states. I love when I see him smile..I world just like have a coffee or a drink with him and say I had the courage and the spirit to just try.. in my last chapter of life..I can't believe at his young age he left and set out to do what he felt.. I've never in my life would try to meet someone who Is famous or ever give up my dignity.. but I would only like to see him play and sing and as he saids..I just want to b ur friend.. if only for 5 min and if he found my boring.. and said nice to meet u.. at least I know I did what I've never done.. get out there and live life..! He is just as beautiful now as he was back then.. and what courage he had to set out and grab his gift! I thank him for that. His music or words make me dance..
