India may or may not be the next superpower, doesn't really matter as long as we can live in peace and harmony.
Though I don't completely disagree with all the issues you have stated. India do face these problems, sadly, just like any other country. Despite India being the most populated country we are not that devloped BUT India's economy is growing day by day and will surpass Japan and Germany in the next decade or so (says the economist). I support India's PM. He's doing a really good job!

A very simple reason why India's GDP will never catch up with China. Because the difference between the two countries is too big. 2023 GDP: China at $17.7 trillion and India at only $3.73 trillion.
If India's growth rate for 2024 is 7%, then the growth will be $261.2b. If China's GDP growth rate is 4.2%, then the growth will be $743.4b, and that's $482.2b more than India. So, GDP for China in 2024 will grow to $18.443 trillion, while India will be only $3.994 trillion.
If both countries' growth rates remain the same for 2025, then India's GDP growth will be $279.5b. China's GDP growth will be $774.6b and it it's $494.4b more than India. The difference between the two countries in 2025 will be increased by $494.4billion, even bigger than 2023!
Here is a table of both countries' projected GDP growth for the next 3 years, with China's growth rate at 4.2% and India at 7%:

As you can clearly see from the above table. China will grow more and more, year after year.
