Not a hair on my head that ever thought of traveling to Oman until....watching your videos stirs up the desire to travel to Oman. You sell it in a calm yet inviting way.
And indeed we missed you last week, it was an empty Thursday.
go to morocco....much cheaper to get there and much more interesting
I don’t think it’s much more interesting and I as well disagree with it being so much cheaper (and cheap to get there highly depends where in the world you are based, so that’s not a valid argument ;) ) - you can camp everywhere in oman, food at local restaurants is cheap and fuel prices as low as it can be. I love both countries, they both definitely have a lot to offer and a worth to visit. The costal road of Oman is more spectacular than the one in Morocco though, at least in my opinion. And even though you of course can be all alone in Morocco too in the desert and remote mountain areas oman is still much more remote in general - which I really love.
I didn’t expect much from oman before I went - I basically only did because I have never been there before and knew it had some mountains. 😂 but after I visited I don’t think that there are many people who would not enjoy a trip to oman. It really has something for everyone!

Lea, thank you so much for bringing us to this wonderful, and peaceful country, this is a trip that not too many people could embark on, due to its remoteness, the drone scenes were astonishingly '' Grandiose'' , and the ride in the bottom of the canyon was superb, just to show how majestic mountains can be. thanks a million time.
Thank you for this nice comment! But this part of Oman is not that remote anymore and quite loved by a lot of tourists - so don’t hesitate if you ever thought about maybe visiting yourself! I would actually recommend this part of Oman to nearly every traveler!

Misfit is a lovely old town. I love everything history; the older, the better.
The canyon is magnificent. It remembers me of Indiana Jones and the holy grail.
The Grand Canyon is a place where I would spend a whole day, only taking picture after picture.
Great drone footage you made there.
If we would have had more time I would as well have liked to do the hike on top where our accommodation was - it takes you right across the cliffs and I think its super beautiful!

Love it! Great video. Oman is my favorite country and Omanis are exceptionally hospitable people. There were no roads and no maps to the summit when my university friend and I hiked to it in 1982 guided by a local shepherd, Suleiman bin Salou, who looks a lot like the old gentleman in your video. I still have a wool cloak woven up there from his goats.

I'm so glad you highlighted beautiful Oman, especially this area. Living in Dubai, we ride to Oman nearly once a month and Jebel Shams is one of our favorites. I have a small drone video of Jebel Akhdar on my channel. We took 100 bikes up a few years ago, before Covid. In Shams we always stay at Sama Heights Resort.
