      Irish Rail Trains that's true there they decided to use the evil icrs which was a bad choice

    very nice as far as i know they will be using more MK4s on different routes such as Galway and Limerick, not sure about Waterford or Westport, and i was told by Management that the current plan is to use 3 sets of them along with the Enterprise on an hourly service when the Enterprise comes back from the overhaul so lets hope for that, but they are 100% bringing more of them back into service

    • @irishrailtrains
      @irishrailtrains  9 лет назад

      +BOB SEEK That's great to hear, are they running the MK4s on the Enterprise when all of the Enterprise sets are back?

    • @bobseek6743
      @bobseek6743 9 лет назад

      +Irish Rail Trains Yea that's the current plan, but as we all know it could easily change, The MK4s was suppose to be used while the Enterprise is away for the overhaul and then management quickly changed there minds about it and they went with 22s and the NIR railcars instead so im hoping they wont change there minds about using the MK4s on an hourly with the enterprise, fingers crossed, but from what im told my dad works in inchicore, he said the MK4s will be used more frequently on Cork Galway and Limerick at some point so lets hope management stick to that plan

    The only part of these trains that do be used on the enterprise trains is when one of the ends need to be replaced if the end that comes off one of the ends of the enterprise trains fails to work

      @@irishrailwayvideos9747 old comment but some 201s have tpws equipped so it would be possible, although it would be too much hassle to use a mk4 instead of a 3000 or 22000

    Why the trail runs on the Northen side.

    • @irishrailtrains
      @irishrailtrains  8 лет назад

      Because they were thing of putting them on the Enterprise at the time so they needed to do gauging trials with them, sadly they were never put on the Enterprise.

    • @Whizzy-jx3qe
      @Whizzy-jx3qe 8 лет назад

      Irish Rail Trains I can never see an hourly service on the enterprise route. Has building work started on the new transport hub for GVS.

    • @irishrailtrains
      @irishrailtrains  8 лет назад

      +Desmond Gleeson No, that won't be happening for a few more years, but it does make more sense to make GVS the main rail hub.

    It would be great in a European country like ireland to run more rail lines instead of closing and shutting them down and in a sad way it's cheaper to fly to parts of Ireland from other parts of Ireland
