The Jam en el programa “Aplauso”, la primera y última vez que pisaron España. Y todo porque el single GOING UNDERGROUNG llegó a lo más alto de las listas de UK, el primero de los cuatro Nº1 que el trío británico llegaría a conseguir en su breve pero fulgurante carrera, a saber:
1) GOING UNDERGROUND
2) START!
3) TOWN CALLED MALICE
4) BEAT SURRENDER
Así que, aunque la bella Silvia Tortosa le otorgue ese privilegio a “Eton Rifles” y aun siendo un excelente y monumental tema, lo cierto es que nunca llegaría al Nº1.

Qué recuerdos en La Guerniquesa, en el jukebox que tenían!! La ponía (Going Underground) hasta 2 y 3 veces, junto con "My Generation" y "Tunnel of Love"...Ainsss

Great to see this, I don't recall seeing it before. Shame about the miming (a necessity on a lot on TV then) but it doesn't detract from more surviving overseas footage. Compare with Eton Rifles live on Something Else and it's a no brainer, but that's a hard one to beat on any day! Thanks for this.
