Just means that those franchises have been around the longest. This isn't a win percentage timeline, otherwise the Kings, Hawks, 76ers, Knicks and Warriors would be lower. The Rockets, Jazz, Suns and Spurs would be higher.
@@lazxmelo1616 That's how it is in the graph, they took the lead first time in history in 2001-2002, stayed on top until 2015-2016 (Kobe's farewell season) and dropped to 2nd the very next season.
This list is in a way unfair. I wont take the wins from the top 8 teams, but they were teams long before the other 7. I would really like to see this done, from the time all the current teams were in the league.
Celtics had Bob Cousy, John Havelick, Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Dave Cowens, Robert Parish, Paul Pierce, Shaquille O’Neal, Isiah Thomas (2016), Marcus Smart, Kemba Walker, Rajon Rondo, Kyrie Irving, Dominique, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Kevin Garnett & Ray Allen so you can kind of see why they dominated for soo long.
Lakers had Shaquille O’Neal, Magic Johnson, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabaar, James Worthy, Wilt Chamberlain and more all stars so you can see why they also did soo well
Celtics piled up wins in the 50's and 60's when there were few teams in the league. You left out many of the players who contributed to that dominance, while including several players who only played briefly in Boston. Dave Cowens, John Havlicek (how did you leave out a HOF player who averaged 21 ppg over 16 seasonswith the Celts?), Bill Sharman, Tommy Heinsohn, Ed McCauley, Sam Jones, etc.
LA supporters do it all the time to help bolster their statistical dominance. As a Celtics fan it really pisses me off, I get that it’s the same franchise but the city it’s in should count for something. It’s like saying the fan base and market is the same in OKC as Seattle.
The Bulls have no relationship to the Stags. They aren't considered to be the same franchise. Stags folded and years later the Bulls became a new expansion team.
LA Lakers did not become LA till 1960. Their wins and Championships should start from 1960. You can't move your team location and continue counting from the Location before.
@@jylee9980 tell that to the colts, chargers, raiders, rams, cardinals, braves, thunder/sonic, clippers, kings, hawks, nets, pistons, warriors, dodgers, nationals, titans, and grizzlies. Pretty much the only teams to ever change their city and not take their history are the pelicans when they moved from charlotte and the ravens when they moved from Cleveland. They are the exception, not the rule.
How hard would it have been to list the thunder as the sonics up until 2008? It's just being intellectually dishonest to say Oklahoma City the entire time.
Lol, this was done in the laziest way ever, OKC did not have a team before 09. Could have just changed the name when they moved but no let's do it the lazy way.

I am surprised by the Atlanta Hawks and the Sacramento Kings.
The hawks are an underrated team give them respect
Just cause it’s a Atlanta team it doesn’t mean there bad

Kings were the Cincinnati Royals
And the knicks
Shocking that the thunder existed in the 70s... lol
Back then it was Seattle before it changed to the thunder

Washington Capitols. Great team coached by young Red Auerbach with no championship. The first team to win 80% games in regular season (1946/47).

@Kings Will Soon Rise queeta for the win🇵🇹
Calling the Minneapolis Lakers the Los Angeles Lakers should be a crime.

The teams change name and city 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dang Knicks let me down again

Yes but you have to see this also cause stags 😱
I figured it would be Celtics #1

Cool
I'm surprised Chicago bulls was in middle with 6 titles!!😳😶 No.11 spot 😲
They have had some terrrrible teams.
OKC counted as Supersonics in the 70's but Stags and Bulls games were counted separate.
The Bulls have no relationship to the Stags. They aren't considered to be the same franchise. Stags folded and years later the Bulls became a new expansion team.
They were the Minneapolis Lakers in the 40s and 50s.
So surprised the sixers with 3 championship wins have the 3rd most all time wins insane
Why do they call it "all time win leader", when it's actually "current moment win leader"?
Wow Knicks are Fourth? Surprised 🙀
It should be sonics then thunder
Boston Celtics Rules
The Celtics and the Lakers have been #1 and #2 for 51 consecutive years. Wrap your head around that.

OKC were the Seattle super sonic ?
yes
Where is the spurs?
Without playoff it is not worth
The warriors?
Surprised the spurs werent on here
Untill the last minute. That's because Spurs became an NBA later than every other team in this list.
Spurs started decades later than the older teams.
Go hawks 💙
only reason Knicks and sixers up there cuz they're old ass teams. It's not like they are relevant now lol
Watching Washington sink off the list😂.
Oklahoma City Thunder ?
wait a minute you're telling me san antonio is so low????

Kings win % = 45% ... and the Kings (Royals) had Oscar Robertson for 10 years!
