but how do you use these colors into a shader? I tried a similar set up, and plugged the "Color Shader" into the color slot, but it was not working

Hey guys, does anyone one know where the "Source" falloff under the Falloff tab is in R20? Or what replaced it? I can't find it anywhere or anything resembling it?

Just drag whatever you want to use as a source into the Field list.

Where is the "Source" Shape Falloff in C4D R20?

Laggy viewport and no update to Xpresso or TP. Nothing here will stop the flow of users towards Houdini.

The MSA costs 3x the price of Houdini Indy.... sadly I'll be switching too....

Houdini has a completely different workflow than Cinema 4D. These are some very exciting new features!

C4D is great if you love working with a laggy viewport and crap caching system that even when you've cached the mograph you still get 2 fps playback. Houdini's workflow is on a completely different level and I can view complex scenes and test timings in realtime after caching. How many years is it going to take Maxon to sort out the viewport?

Houdini is cool, so is Blender, Maya, Zbrush... etc...

These 2 softwares are NOTHING alike. There is literally no competition between Houdini and C4D.
