Immagine the guts to sing this difficult song on stage. Today we even have some singers use playback or autotune live, or other gimmicks that makes their voice sound better. Elvis was the best singer (when you consider his inventivness, versatility, voice and his ability to draw you in and make you FEEL the song) ever. And when you take into consideration all the obstacles he faced : Health problems, a manager that held him back in the last half of his career, being the first superstar with no one to learn from, dying at 42 ! no musical education etc. His career is one if not THE most impressive. I am so happy that new generations are discovering him too.

Oh so very very Heavenly beautiful and it just flows from Elvis so smoothly and yet with such haunting power and passion that it thrills your soul and melts your heart to tears!!! His voice became even more powerful as he matured and even as his body failed him yet he still gave his all to his fans - even to the very end of his short life so we love him even more if that is even possible!!!!! It is just so unreal so unbelievable what Elvis could do with his voice especially towards the end of his life - his Heavenly beautiful voice had reached its powerful peak and then he was suddenly taken from us - that is why it is so hard to listen to these later songs from Elvis without crying. Love both songs; even in his last months of life, Elvis still had an amazing ability to transform his vocals to do whatever he wanted them to do. Such a shame that so many of Elvis's concerts weren't professionally recorded and/or videotaped. For supposedly being so smart, Tom Parker appears to have been pretty short-sighted; either that or he somehow 'forgot' that Elvis had millions of fans, was the first Rock & Roll superstar & that his music would live on. He and Elvis could have made an even bigger fortune from his concert performances well into the future.

thank you renee:) if you watched this entire new yrs show i highly recommend i believe this is elvis' last truly great performance yes there were some highlights in 77 but this new yrs show is so special elvis came back to the stage in dec 76 after a short break for his "in five days" tour & surprised everyone he looked fantastic he was in wonderful spirits he looked and sounded healthy you could just tell he was in a better place than hed been for a long time!! and you know whenever elvis was feeling it, and just really having fun it's gonna be a special show!! its devine intervention we even have this on film i believe it is the only or closest thing we have of an entire elvis concert start to finish...even a performance of the sweets opening the show! thanks to all the fans in the audience that night that all filmed this legendary show several different happen to be filming that night... and then some amazing fans went around & obtained all these different recordings and pieced together the entire show from them remastered it all and then made it available to fans everywhere so many fans made this film possible...we are so fortunate to have elvis' last new yrs..that he spent with us, that seemed to show a promising year ahead for elvis..sadly it wasn't to be but thanks to the fans, he left this for us its a little wonky at first but very quickly the remastered part kicks in ruclips.net/video/GP5CpJ2hGNs/видео.htmlsi=svytOACiTbLEZ5fB
