Husband seemingly not reporting Patricia missing after she disappeared feels like a massive red flag, especially with an age gap and power dynamic like that.
I agree that the husband not reporting her missing is suspicious ! Even if they separated early on they probably still lived not far from each other if she disappeared surely he would have noticed and asked questions of her friends as to her whereabouts just out of curiosity. There would be a chance that one of their social group who still might be alive might remember the disappearance and a few people asking about her .
As a male nearing 50 myself, over the years I noticed some men, upon nearing 30, had a strange savior mentality. They saw some significantly younger girls who appeared to be in need of help and they came FW to try to help these girls. However after a while, these girls were not what these men thought to be. After some time, the relationships soured. If he was not involved, another way of explaining was that he simply got tired of her and moved on. Once he was no longer in the mood to help her, he no longer wanted to have anything to do with her. Not sure how many people back then knew about the relationship but given the circumstances at that time, he probably was not going around introducing her as his wife in front of his social circles. Perhaps he married her largely as a matter of convenience as back then, having an unmarried relationship was sometimes not so socially acceptable.
@@Babesinthewood97 i doubt that very much at a young age at that time you needed permission to get married at the age of 16 from your parents or reletives o guardian . Then here she was abused , being roped liked she was , he either enjoyed what he did to her or someone else as America to be honest is not a good place to live.
Patricia and I were born in the same year. It breaks my heart that her life was taken away at such a young age. But at least she was found and has her name back so her loved ones can have closure. Thank you for sharing her story, Gabby. May Patricia Rest in Peace.
One of the things that really strikes me when listening to this story (and many cold case stories) is that on paper she was a lost cause. She was a high school dropout who married way too young and many people wouldn’t consider her life and murder worth spending much time on - especially given how old it is. But every life has value. And I admire the detectives that dedicate time to lost souls. I appreciate that all lives matter here.
Part of it was lazy police work. Prior to Adam Walshes disappearance in the 1980s if children disappeared it was assumed they ran away and joined a circus. That sounds so ridiculous now but that's what parents were expected to accept. When young women disappeared it was assumed they met a handsome stranger and ran away to get married. Mike Walshes unrelenting investigation of Adam's disappearance found so many murders that the excuse making wouldn't cut it any more.
Good to see you back, we missed your compassionate and respectful reporting on those who have been lost to time. It’s so sad that this poor child could be so completely forgotten by the world. Even if her killer is never bought to justice she has at least been given the dignity of having her name returned to her and her memory rekindled.
The fact that she was never reported missing makes me wonder more about her husband than her other family members. Her mother probably just thought she ran away with him to start a new life. Why didn't he report his wife going missing?
Good points that you made. If the husband was not involved, perhaps a change in mood influenced the decision to do nothing of significance. Considering the social circumstances at that time, once she walked away from the relationship, the husband found it hard to try to locate her possibly because his male pride would not allow him to do so. The thinking could be that she was supposed to follow him, not the other way round. Going to the police and informing his social circles that his wife was missing could make him a subject of ridicule. Due to her age, the social reaction was likely that she ran off with another man and the husband was deemed to have lost his manhood. They had no known kids from the marriage. So there was no immediate incentive for him to try to find her.
@@groundcontrol436385 I don't know any of the answers. According to a video on the NYPD RUclips channel Patricia's mother had guardianship of the 11 month old boy as of May 1970.

The tooth decay makes me curious about something. Would an eating disorder of purging and long term malnourishment and possible stunted growth be able to cause a misjudgement in age? Because root canals and crowns are rare at 17-19. Either way I am very happy to hear she got her name back. 💜
Or, her father died when she was 10 and from then she was raised by a single mother. Odds are money was tight and dental care is less important than food and a roof over your head. If anything, eating disorders will result in a person being mistaken for being older, purging does take a toll on the teeth but also the body, as does being malnourished. Also, seeing as there are no records of her nor sightings after 1969 anywhere, combined with the body being that of a teenager, odds are she dies in 1969 or early 1970. Be it at the hands of her husband or someone she met through him and his connection to the location or a stranger....a 16 year old disappeared, was murdered and no one cared enough to even report her missing.
The thing that is puzzling to me is that the watch and coin fit with her being killed in 1969 but that particular clothing tag was not in use until 1987. I don't think she lived longer than that because her remains were judged to be of someone that was still a teenager. If she was born in 1953 and was killed in 1987 she would have been 34 at that point. It is possible that the authorities are wrong about when that tag came into use. Also, her remains could have been stored somewhere else and then for whatever reason, buried in concrete at that location around 1987. Poor girl! God rest her soul and may the police find her killer.
These tags are very complicated and people are always making mistakes about them when trying to ID the date of clothing manufacture. There are some very minute differences between eras and some overlap. I did this with something I was trying to ID and there were many different stages to the label changes. Also, if the recovered tag had any blurring or missing part it could skewer the comparison.
That kind of hog-tying is a torture device, forcing victims to strangle themselves. Have to wonder what became of that sadistic monster. That poor girl, child really.

First of all, Gabby I'm thrilled to see you back. This is a very heartbreaking case of a young teenage girl who was horrifically murdered decades ago. I'm glad that she was identified but I hope that one day they'll be able to find the person/persons who murdered Patricia and why was she murdered. Great investigation and presentation, as always. Take care 🦋
I wouldn’t be too hopeful about any connection with the toy soldier. They literally made millions of them in the 60s and 70s. When I was a kid, every time I dug a hole in our backyard, I would find at least one of them, presumably belonging to the previous occupants’ kid.
Maybe she herself kept a toy from when she was younger and I mean she was still a teenager when she died. I still have weird and small toys from when I was a child I have a hairbrush its not useble anymore but I don't want to get rid of it. She could have hold on to the toy for sentimental reasons and was buried with it just because the person who murdered her might have seen it as an extension of her in some sort of way
I suspect it happened to be lying on the rug when she was rolled up in it. There must have been children in the place where the rug came from-which could literally be anywhere.
Absolutely fascinating and wonderful to have been able to identify her. RIP, Patricia. What a horrible, lonely end to this very young woman. I hope someone comes forward with info as to how this happened.
Her husband was absolutely the one responsible imo, her teeth prove she was held like a hostage. Poor girl deserves that mans name to be released and shown as the monster he is.

Over a year ago, I found an overseas release copy of a Jimi Hendrix bootleg Live at Steve Paul's The Scene. And that Patricia was found buried in the former location of this iconic club.is both disturbing and creepy. While I am unsure the older ex-husband had any relation to how she wound up in the basement since we have no proof of his identity or of their domestic life (lots of missing context), the fact that this happened 55 years ago too. Unless a witness steps forward, or a written or deathbed confession comes out, we may never solve this case. Oh yeah, welcome back Gabby. Been awhile since I watched any of your stuff. If the tag in her clothing was from 1987, she wasn't buried in 1969. Just because there aren't any records on her after 69 doesn't prove that's when she died. I found some of the info on the husband. Allegedly, her husband lived in the apartment building above the club and they had a son who was given up for adoption in 1970 which leads people to believe she was killed in late 1969 or early 1970.
As a mother to a sixteen and fifteen year old I don't even want to imagine the horror that poor girl went through. I'm just glad that her remains were found, identified and I hope now she can rest in peace.
Amazing how close the drawing from her dna analysis matched her real photo. Don’t know why they have to make those drawings so dour - they are made to look like a criminal.
I followed this case for years, and I was heartbroken to learn the story of this young woman. Patricia McGlone deserved better in life and in death. Although the circumstances seem to point to one obvious suspect, it's unlikely that her killer will ever face a judge or jury. Does anyone know if she has a grave? The union tag and the other items from after 1969 are hard to account for, and I wonder if the concrete was poured over her remains years after her body was discarded by workers who didn't bother to remove anything before they poured.
You always have been and always will be one of my favorite truecrime RUclipsrs! You are so respectful and actually stick to facts. So glad to see you back. ❤️
Didn't you say she babysat? Would make sense she had that toy soldier if she did. She probably babysat shortly before she died and that's why she had the soldier on her person.
Hi Gabby this is so tragic to hear I was born in the year 1969. I always loved the 1960’s fashion trends, sadly there were also tragic homicides and the awful Manson family. Hope her parents get closer by now. 🙏I hope Patricia will be found this is 55 years cold case. Stay well and safe ✝️
First, kudos to you for following this and reporting on it so factually and comprehensively. The two things that stand out to me are: (1) the manner of killing is exotic. Rather than a classic crime of passion, or a murder just to get rid of someone, it's more like she was made an example of, for others to see. (2) Parabon Nanolab's snapshot was strikingly accurate.
Such a tragic case. I am so glad she got her identity back and we now know who she is thanks again to the hard work of detectives and genetic geneology. I feel like there's still so much unknown though. If she was married why didn't her husband report her missing? Makes me wonder if he was somehow involved in her murder. Her remains point to being a teen and the watch found her points to 1969 as the time of her death but how did she become buried with a shirt thats tag wasn't being used until 1987? Could authorities be wrong about the timeline of the tag? Was she kept elsewhere and then moved to the basement in 1987 for some reason? I feel like there are still so many unanswered questions. I really hope they're able to put more pieces of the puzzle together and find out the identity of her killer somehow. Just so sad all around. May Patricia RIP now.
Hey, good to see you back but we totally understand the need for the break. I'm glad that poor girl got her name back it's such a shame it took so long to find her there. I'm wondering if it'd be possible to check dates of renovations done to the building, especially the basement. There may be a record somewhere of the concrete/cement being relaid? Who did that job and were they connected to the husband?
I clicked on this thumbnail and then felt like I'd just walked into the wrong bathroom. Oops, wrong channel! Thought the girl hosting the channel was that mortician lady.
I haven't watched the video yet, cuz late (don'twant to wake Spouse), BUT in my wikipedia dive,i came across the page for The Scene. Apparently the is a documentary from 1970 called "Groupies" where a lot of it is filmed at The Scene. Now i want to hunt down that documentary and see if she's in the background somewhere. If old footage exists somewhere that didn't make it into the documentary, that would be amazing and possibly usefull.
Wonderful to have you back Gabby! I hope you are feeling better after taking the mental health break! I have had depression/anxiety for many years. There are still up and down times even though I am on medication and have a great doctor. This story is fascinating! It is so amazing how many cases have been closed using the familial testing. We’ve had six cases closed in recent years due to that. One was a sister of a friend of mine who was murdered in 1970. RIP to Patricia!
I am feeling a little better, thank you! You gotta put your mental health at the top of the list of priorities in this life. I’m so sorry to hear a tragedy like that happened to someone you know, it makes me happy though there has been some closure due to genetic genealogy though. More and more cases are being solved weekly, truly incredible.😊
The Summer of Love did not mean that the world was involved just a generation that had hope because FDR brought America back ( not without some terrible later consequences). Our Dad's and Mom's Won WWIIand grandparents held down the Fort. We thought they may have overreacted in Korea but that was short. What was happening in Nam, Civil Rights, Suspicious Assassinations and Women's Rights was not what we wanted the future to be and we were willing to work towards that. Our problem was we were lied to about how the World worked so we weren't prepared when things while appearing to better got steadily worse. Our good intentions were used against us and modern life had a steep learning curve. Kudos to those who still can keep trying. Still care. Still trying. Still shead tears about a teenager with a very tough life trying to be grownup being murdered and forgotten for so many years. She should be watching these videos not be the focus of one. RIP

@@SamStone1964 completely reasonable, I obviously don't have the answers. I just know what I was able to find
Omg you made my Saturday Gabby
Really sad case she was born the same year as my sister and it its incredible to think we havre lived whole lifetimes since 1969. Delia Morris
Very sad, i hope the details of her short life can be found.
As a mother to a sixteen and fifteen year old I don't even want to imagine the horror that poor girl went through. I'm just glad that her remains were found, identified and I hope now she can rest in peace.
She’s just 4 years older than my dad. She could be alive today and enjoy her time with family 😢
So glad you are back 💜 thank you for sharing this 💜
I am so happy you are back. I missed you.
Amazing how close the drawing from her dna analysis matched her real photo. Don’t know why they have to make those drawings so dour - they are made to look like a criminal.
stoked that you're back dude ✨️
Hey new sub here 👋🏼 I love when RUclips actually recommends decent channels for a change! ❤
@@WaynesPokeWorld Aw, thank you and welcome! ❤️
OH im so Glad to see This And Glad you took the time you Needed
Manson, Woodstock, Moon landing. 1969 was buzy.
A great production. Also, your personal style is perfect.
I truly appreciate it! Thank you! ☺️
Love your channel! 👏👏
As usual you were brilliant.
How sad that she was there all those years!!!!
Hopefully she'll find justice soon
Regards from South Africa
Prayers for her, her family, her friends.
Welcome back Gabby!! We missed you!
Thank you so much for an update
You always have been and always will be one of my favorite truecrime RUclipsrs! You are so respectful and actually stick to facts. So glad to see you back. ❤️
@@selfloveseeker3345 Aw, I truly appreciate that, thank you! ❤️🫶
Didn't you say she babysat? Would make sense she had that toy soldier if she did. She probably babysat shortly before she died and that's why she had the soldier on her person.
Oh god, seeing the photo is heartbreaking. If someone asked me to guess I would have said that she was 12 or 13 💔
I stayed at that hotel and had no idea!
Glad to see you back.
Probably is why the nightclub closed suddenly.
Fascinating but very sad case.
So sad. I’m glad they know her name now. Hoping they can get more info on who did this to young lady.
Hi Gabby that is great to hear that the murdered teen in 1989 is found or identified🙏
Well researched. Good job!
I hope they figure it out
Hi Gabby this is so tragic to hear I was born in the year 1969. I always loved the 1960’s fashion trends, sadly there were also tragic homicides and the awful Manson family. Hope her parents get closer by now. 🙏I hope Patricia will be found this is 55 years cold case. Stay well and safe ✝️
Welcome back
First, kudos to you for following this and reporting on it so factually and comprehensively. The two things that stand out to me are: (1) the manner of killing is exotic. Rather than a classic crime of passion, or a murder just to get rid of someone, it's more like she was made an example of, for others to see. (2) Parabon Nanolab's snapshot was strikingly accurate.
It occurs to me that she could have been held captive for years before her death. Therefore, the tag from the 80s and, possibly, even a child.
Side note: that union advert with the four generations is so cute.
Wow, 😯 very interesting case.
It breaks my heart that someone could go missing and no one noticed.
I live in NYC and lemme tell ya, the true crime here is that ghastly restaurant buffet in the building today... BLECH!
That tag looks like "-67 " to me, not -87
I love old cases! I’m glad I found you 😃
Nice to see someone covering old cases and not eating food while doing it. Feels so much less exploitative than true crime on the whole
Maybe she carried the soldier because someone she loved was in the Vietnam War
Big fan of yours, Gabby. Glad to see you're back. BTW I love your noir-ish outro music. What's the name of it and who performs it?
Hey, good to see you back but we totally understand the need for the break.
I'm glad that poor girl got her name back it's such a shame it took so long to find her there. I'm wondering if it'd be possible to check dates of renovations done to the building, especially the basement. There may be a record somewhere of the concrete/cement being relaid? Who did that job and were they connected to the husband?
you look like the lady mortician, but in a different universe ❤
I clicked on this thumbnail and then felt like I'd just walked into the wrong bathroom. Oops, wrong channel! Thought the girl hosting the channel was that mortician lady.
@@WhatDoesMyChannelNameMean I get that a lot. Welp, my channel is pretty interesting too though.
Such a beautiful young girl❤
I haven't watched the video yet, cuz late (don'twant to wake Spouse), BUT in my wikipedia dive,i came across the page for The Scene. Apparently the is a documentary from 1970 called "Groupies" where a lot of it is filmed at The Scene. Now i want to hunt down that documentary and see if she's in the background somewhere.
If old footage exists somewhere that didn't make it into the documentary, that would be amazing and possibly usefull.
That documentary is on RUclips.
@@SamStone1964 danke!
I really like your channel and yes..I subscribed! 😊👍 Thank you for your videos...
Blessings to All from my Garden! We need some calming energy!
I wonder what building was being torn down or rebuilt in the area in 1987?
Could they estimate the date of the concrete overpour? Could they guess the age the carpet?
I miss your videos
How sad!
Hey girly ❤❤❤ it's good to see you ❤❤❤ I hope your feeling better
What Patricia went through…
💔Beautiful child, RIP.
RIP
Great video!
Patricia was probably taken out by her husband. It’s telling that he didn’t report her missing. Since they have her name now, maybe they can look up the marriage certificate if there is one.
