Digha Youth Hostel provides one of the best and cheapest ac accommodation at New Digha. Except dormitory all other accommodations ( 2 bedded rooms to 8 bedded rooms) are ac. Entrance, corridor and of course rooms are pretty good and clean. Another good thing there's ample parking space which can accommodate lots of cars at a time. Overall very nice experience.
Five things are needed to be mentioned:
1. No canteen facility. You are not allowed to take the food inside the room.
2. No power backup. In case of power cut you will have to stay in dark. Major problem for the basement rooms.
3. No proper maintenance. All things are there but due to poor maintenance some ACs are not cooling properly, some switches are not working properly, some taps are not working. Bedcovers are not washed properly. Some Rooms are very small. Especially basement rooms are not vantilated properly. You may also face water shortage at bathroom.
4. When you booked any room through online, you don't have the idea of the room position(front view, back view, which floor).
This is one of the real disadvantages to book room there through online.
5. Staff behaviour is good. They try to cooperate with the guests.
