To be honest I expected Reimu to win, but Reimu being Reimu, and the nature of Danmaku being what it is (i.e. non-lethal), just solve her difference with Mario through a peaceful discussion over a cup of tea afterward.
I really like how the start of the fight before Mario became Fire Mario had effects and sounds that weren't over the top; that made them feel authentic, so much so that I felt like I was watching footage from an actual fighting game. This more "laid back" start allowed the video to culminate slowly as Mario got more powerups and Reimu took to the air. The second half wouldn't have felt nearly as interesting had it been the same setup the entire time.
If the Mario and Luigi games were replaced by Touhou: Reimu and Sanae: Phantasm Saga + Mima's Minions Yuuka and Mima: Partners in PC-98 Reimu and Sanae: Yuyuko's Inside Story + Joon's Journey Reimu and Sanae: Doremy Dream Team Reimu and Sanae: Seihou Jam/Len'en Jam/Under Jam And like how occasionally some characters forget Luigi's name and call him "Green Mario", Sanae would be mistaken for "Green Reimu".
This is one of my favourite match-ups EVER! The main characters of two series I've come to know and love fighting each other? SO COOL! I would love to see a crossover between Mario, Sonic, and Touhou!

As for raw durability, tanking Shinki's attacks say enough, as they are powerful enough to rip through the fabric of existence before Spell Card Rules were implemented. I wouldn't even call Shinki the strongest PC-98 character (yeah, power scaling was a problem then), as characters were known to have abilities like Infinite Power Scaling, and somehow, Yuuka still outclassed almost all of them. I'd say the only thing that we don't know is whether or not she could beat Hecatia. It's heavily implied she can't and that would be an impossible task, but let's pretend that she can for a minute, since you are saying Mario can beat Dream Bowser and Dimentio, but didn't mention that both of those battles required items, like the Star for Dream Bowser and the Pure Hearts for Dimentio. So, since you're giving them that buff, let's say for the hell of it, Reimu could beat Hecatia with SCR off. Then it's no contest, Hecatia is far stronger than Mario in any incarnation. And then there's base and concept. Mario was built on a simple premise, and as his strongest, could save the world with help from various people, or with items and tools he had along the way, eventually reaching universal. Reimu is built on the concept of fantasy, on the idea that fantasy could become reality, and that's how she is built. In concept, Reimu is the far stronger one, and her control over "reality" and "fantasy" makes her stronger than Mario on both a realistic and theoretical perspective.

However, Might I suggest a small improvement: while the build up of the fight was wonderful, it felt a little lackluster when Reimu's 7-hit charge-up (in this case 4 hits it seems) simply shot lasers, and from there it ended very shortly. Mario has a few more tricks up his sleeve, and as does Reimu, though I can comprehensibly understand that the likelihood Mario would find all those powerups ironically littered around the battlefield would be very slim, so I suppose ending it where you did was a good idea. I loved it! I would love to see more! But you did nonetheless superb! 💙 Also, did Reimu mention Remilia? (towards the end, when they're both "So you're so and so"; I know not of Japanese, but I can pick up on a very small amount. O: lol. Still lovely work!) 🐰💙
Something I have noticed from these videos, in which Mario fights against a very powerful opponent, is that the animators always make him a great resistance and a great fight, even if it is obvious that he will not win. which makes me think that mario is highly respected on the internet as a character.
When making this, I was going to let Mario win however I decided against it as it wouldn't have made sense at all and it would just come off as me being biased. I was considering to let Reimu take this one however that would have been a little too obvious considering her Overpowered status. After all, if I had Reimu retain her status she would have obliterated Mario the moment he approached her.
Im about 2 years too late but this animation is absolutely amazing. Also I read some comments that think reimu absolutely stomps mario. This is false because mario scaled to dreamy bowser in base form who is multiversal and if you use paper mario feats mario absolutely stomps

Ami outerversal Touhou relies on the NLF that Yukari(I have counted at least 4) had plus high balling string theory from what I have seen. Low complex multiversal Touhou uses string theory as well but it is toned down to actually make sense. Ok Nice to know that on Mario.
Im a fan of both series but.... I feel like Reimu did not used the maximum, Touhou characters has very cool spell cards, but they are not in animation 'cause its hard to animate like 100+ bullets. (oh and also mario broke the Spell Card rules lmao)
To be frank she could have just been airborne the whole time and carpet bomb him with her arsenal. Reimu had no real reason to bother with close combat at all.

Even if he didn't learn fire he would still have the fire flower, ice flower, or use the cape to simply fly to her. Of course regardless she would probably still win but Mario isn't just a close range fighter.

Im about 2 years too late but this animation is absolutely amazing. Also I read some comments that think reimu absolutely stomps mario. This is false because mario scaled to dreamy bowser in base form who is multiversal and if you use paper mario feats mario absolutely stomps

Also Reimu can beat Yukari who goes anywhere from low multiversal/multiversal to outerversal(I say low complex because string theory)

Also also base Reimu vs Mario is fair but fantasy Nature Reimu probably smokes Game Mario and possibly the RPG games but not paper Mario.
@@occulticplate2401 i doubt anyone in touhou is outerversal i personally wouldnt put anyone in the verse above multiversal+ but low complex could be debatable. Also rpg mario is the same as the one as the platformers, sports and party games. Paper is highly debated on if hes a different mario or not. theres evidence that he is and theres evidence that he isnt so it can go either way. Edit: Theres also a third mario that is seperate (Super Mario Kun) that is OP as hell and paper mario is like an ant compared to him lol
Ami outerversal Touhou relies on the NLF that Yukari(I have counted at least 4) had plus high balling string theory from what I have seen.
Low complex multiversal Touhou uses string theory as well but it is toned down to actually make sense.

Im a fan of both series but.... I feel like Reimu did not used the maximum, Touhou characters has very cool spell cards, but they are not in animation 'cause its hard to animate like 100+ bullets.
(oh and also mario broke the Spell Card rules lmao)
If Mario brought out his Metal form, Invincible form, Giant form or just straight out possessed her, he would have won faster.
To be frank she could have just been airborne the whole time and carpet bomb him with her arsenal. Reimu had no real reason to bother with close combat at all.
@@Surikoazimaet Although I don't care much about who wins, Mario has shown to have many ranged attacks. For example in SuperStar Saga Mario learned how to manipulate fire from the fire god. Even if he didn't learn fire he would still have the fire flower, ice flower, or use the cape to simply fly to her. Of course regardless she would probably still win but Mario isn't just a close range fighter.

Suprisingly, this has gained a lot of attention recently. A few days ago, this video was a little over 700 likes, now it's over 1200 likes. This once again came in as unexpected. This video may even rival and surpass my most liked video, that being "Mario & Sonic vs Lilac Black". I just came to say, thank you for at least watching this video.

I am an animator too, I was just wondering because I know how to convert my animations to swivel, but the video is sometimes off sync because in about 2 to 3 minutes, the audio skips back as the video plays, I need to know how can I convert my animations Into the video so it can be on sync and it won't have any problems
Your problem seems odd to me as I’ve never encountered such a problem. Either something’s wrong with Flash or Swivel, that’s my guess.
