First you'll need a Gummi Ship with 200 Speed. The easiest option is to get the Endymion Ship from photographing the Endymion Constellation in Misty Stream Galaxy.

The Schwarzgeist Boss is found inside the big green tornado at the center of the Misty Stream Galaxy (2nd Galaxy you visit).
Once you got the Endymion ship unlocked, select it in the Embark Screen and you can challenge the Schwarzgeist. You can also make your own custom ship with 200+ Speed. Slower ships can't fly into the Tornado in the galaxy's center.
During the fight roll a lot to evade the attacks of the boss. Also be sure to have the "Repair Kit" Special Weapon unlocked. It lets you heal every 30-40 seconds. When your health gets low just roll to avoid getting hit until your Repair Kit has recharged, then heal yourself. Rinse and repeat. With the Endymion Ship it's not that hard.

I never thought a game I played on a demo disc a long time ago would be referenced in KH. Such an awesome cameo.

To me it was the cameo of all cameos. I grew up on einhander. I loved the game more than anything so it was a pleasure seeing it again

I cannot explain the absolute GLEE I felt when I saw that THIS BOSS was in Kh3. Einhander was my entire childhood, we still have the PS2 disk of the game, we still play it. I have never met anyone else who knew this game. I was squealing and crying when I saw this boss pop up. It seriously made my entire week to see this nice little nostalgic callback :')
It's always the hidden gems. The little things that we enjoy but no one in our immediate circle enjoys. I'm right there with you, this was a huge part of my childhood. And it's the only bullet hell I'll ever tolerate.
Einhander was actually a PS1 title...
Not a ps2 game, tho...
For those who dont know, this was the hardest boss from the game Einhänder which was a Classic SquareSoft PS1 2.5D side scrolling shooter. And I am super happy that not only did they add the Einhänder ship but also this boss complete with its original boss theme!
It's more than that, apparently Square got some of the original devs behind Einhander to help with the gummi ship sections in KHIII. Hence why this bonus boss is here!
All of this reinvigorates my hope for an Einhander sequel or remake.
@@mattandrews2594 It would be so cool to see a modern version of Einhander, just so that I can see what they'd do with the Gustav, Drache, Sturmvogel, and Gestell bosses.

Once you figure out that this is pattern boss with huge health, it just becomes a test of concentration.
What I did was equip two Deneb as teeny ships; those have auto-targeting missiles. Then, just keep firing - releasing missiles - dodging. FOREVER. The bullets try to hit the current center of your ship, but will always miss if you dodge so they will never get you; the damage will be done by the auto-targeting rockets. When the main ship does its lasers, the safe spot is the upper left corner.
Took Photos Of All Constellation And Got Trophy, But Could Not Find The Special Ships Blueprints From The Constellation, Till I Opened Up “Information”
It unlocked them and some gumi ship missions with it

I don't think SE as whole have interest, but some of the dev team from Einhänder made the Gummiship missions for KH3

In short, Square Enix + Eidos = BIG Corporate. BIG corporation makes BIG games for BIG fanbases for potential to earn back BIG money. Einhänder is a shmup genre Jpnese ip. BIG pubs are always looking for ways to use their IPs to get MoMoney These days shmups are smol games. If SE knew that shmup games had BIG enough fanbases worldwide, you'd be lucky to even get Einhänder on mobile.

Wow they even included the S. Bonus Mini-boss "Monitor" with it's OST also. In Einhander the Monitor only appears if you destroy Schwarzgeist a certain way though it's not a ridiculous fight like Schwarzgeist is.

For anyone who is still struggling with this boss, the easiest and guaranteed way to dodge the lasers is to hug the upper left corner of the screen. Best combo'd with auto lasers so that way you're always hitting the boss.
Thanks Michael, I had got so close on my previous attempt with just auto heal. Auto lasers, though, made it so much quicker!

Finally beat this boss a while ago but it took me many tries. I believe it took me over 20 and learning his attacks. Repair Kit definitely helped out a lot and managed to beat it. I can say that it was worth it because the Golden Highwind is insane, best gummi ship out in KH3

This is as crazy and random a cameo as the Xenogears appearing in World of Final Fantasy. Man I would love nothing more than for Einhander to get a slight remake, or hell even just port it to PS+ or something.
I made my Gummi ship the Vic Viper from Gradius (it performs amazing too.) too, which made this fight extra surreal. Fighting a boss from an old Square shmup, with the ship from an old Konami shmup, in a Disney crossover ARPG in 2019.
Three weeks too late but straight away knew the boss was from Einhander and then the ship. Man I need to try to complete Einhander one day. The last stage was madness though!!

i beat him first try, only I got knocked down to a single hitpoint 1 healthbar into the fight and went the rest of the way without getting hit

I had absolutely no problem beating him. I'd suggest using the Endymion gummi ship and the Repair Kit SW if you need more health. Should be a cake walk from there. Good luck

Beat him on my first try, using this strategy. Only tried two times before that. Figured this must have been a blind spot somewhere! Super helpful.
This guy took me nearly 30min to beat due to only doing very minor chip damage to him. Fortunately I beat this ship and got the golden ship that takes down all the ship bosses in order to get the oricalcum + piece.
This is probably my most favorite boss fight besides the data battles

Also the highwind 4 ship you get for beating this thing is the equivalent to God when it comes to Gummi Ships. It absolutely melts everything including the final Gummi Ship boss 😂😂😂😂😂
Got it first try. Here is some tips.
1. Just follow the algorithm, in the first phase Dodge everything with the roll, except when he shoots lasers. When he starts shooting lasers 2 times in a row, the second time u can shoot him right in the face during it, and destroy half of 1 of his bars.
2. In the second phase don't rush. You have time and with enough time and understanding of the algorithm its easy.

I never noticed this as a kid, but the more I look at SchwarzGeist, the more he looks like a machine from the Galactic Empire. Those flanges even look like TIE Interceptor wings and he looks vaguely like a probe droid.
This right here, not an easy fight no matter how you slice it. Made a special custom just to get in the vortex.
Took me about a long as this video to destroy it due to my lack of power. Although I didn't know about the simple tip to avoid those laser streams,
had to dodge roll with precise timing every time.
Also, to get an A Rank, you have to do more damage to it: destroy the rocket launchers on the legs and take out the shield disks.
Those disks will keep respawning, so by the end of the fight, you should get an A. I did first time around.
You know, its funny, this boss was the hardest boss in the game it originates from
It was extremely easy for me but i went in at lvl 70
This fight is easy, honesty. No need to roll dodge the beams. When he fires them up and you know where to stand you will always be in the safe zone. They didn't hit me a single time.
All who call it easy, don't even kid yourself. Gold Trophies don't come "easy".

Yes it is! The ship, the boss, the music are all from Einhander! SquareEnix got the original Einhander developers to help with the Gummi Ship stuff in KH3, and allowed them some callbacks like this!

this fight is absolutely worth it cuz the reward for it is a beast ship it's unlock the best ship in the game it took me over 10 mins to kill it but it was worth it .

Took me over five tries but I beat him, the golden highwind helped me beat omega machina in less than 3 minutes
This was actually easier then i expected .
I took about 8 minutes to beat it with this ship. For the heck of it, I thought I'd retry it with The Golden Highwind to gauge it's power. It took me 90 seconds!
I won so fast and dealt so much damage, I couldn't even get an A Rank!
But to get the Golden Highwind you need to defeat this boss..
@@Pro0wnz you can rechallenge the boss at any time. And Golden Highwind plus the golden teeny ships sweep the floor with him lol
I know this comment is two months old, but yeah, getting an A Rank on this thing is pretty stupid. You basically have to ignore the boss and constantly destroy the shields until you hit one million points, and then kill the boss. It takes forever, even with Golden Highwind. It's definitely as tedious as it sounds.

Just beat it using my own ship. The Sschwarzgeist fight is very much reminiscent of a Star Fox boss fight.
I never played KH3, but if there isn't a trophy for beating this boss without getting hit, I would be disappointed. In the original game, the only time you had any from of HP was with the weapon pods.
It took me 20 mins to defeat schwarzgeist, & I'm only at level 72 while using the Endymion first try without any attempts. Not sure why It took so long compared to this video, but at least I passed, & I amost die during his last phase with only less than 10hp left. Just imagine starting over again another half hour, so time consuming lol.
me too it took me 21mins to beat this and i'm only level 8(seriously though) as soon as i get to the 2nd system i rushed to get the endymion and immediately tried this boss
Einhander is dangerously close to Didney franchises. If they spoof einhander, I'm going to go kamakazi from my moon base.

It should be on the special ships tab when you're selecting a gummi ship to use, towards the bottom.

Lets be honest... THIS was the first superboss of KH3.
Level 38 gumi ship beat it first try. Very easy just make sure you Dodge the beams, go in a circle, and use the health recovery item.
How did you get the repair kit special??
I can't customize that ship I need some materials and have no idea where to find them

Yeah, I beat him several years ago and almost died on my final run of defeating it.
I don't believe it. Is this a mod?! Square actually remembered and made a reference to one of their niche 5th gen videogames and possibly the best shmup ever? This feels surreal, and I don't entirely believe it. Even all the attack patterns of Schwarzgeist are the same, the Endymion is gummi-fied, and it's even topped off with Thermosphere.
Do you also get to fight the secret Jellyfish boss if you shoot off the top of Schwarzgeist? That was an extra part to this fight in the original Einhänder.
Same team that made that game worked on the gummi ship part of this gane.
@@Xo-3130 Yeah, I read about that not long after making that comment. I'm so happy that team is still around, I genuinely want more Einhänder (Zweihänder?) because I've been playing it ever since that old JamPack demo disc with Tomba and Metal Gear Solid. Best shmup ever!

Did this with airship at level 30 no teeny ships...took 14min and got a B rank. It was crazy long but in the end just pattern repetition.

I found the second part to be easy, just dodging his lasers and charge attack
Note : the boss name means black ghost.

I have a ship with over 200 speed but it still won't let me fight it
Go towards the area of the tornado with the least amount of floating debris. I know that's the issue some people had.

Too bad my game glitched and I couldn't get whatever gummi ship you used. I had to use the crap airship you get from the space worms but I got it 1st try but it took 15 damn minutes.
I build an dounut ship and everytime the lasers came I hid in the left or right corner.
Hardest Boss in the game. Done it with the Sirius.
I struggled with this boss more than I did with Xehanort or the Omega Machina
