Loved this video! I'm coming in as a freshman in HS next year and I would like to learn lacrosse. Typically me being a girl, I'd join the girl's team. Although, girl's lacrosse seems too boring and I love the action in this sport. The only reason why I'm hesitant to join the Men's is because I'd feel uncomfortable surrounded by guys. But anyways, I'd like to thank you for making this video! I have watched many others, but due to this one I finally got it.
If you confident that you can play on the boys (cause high school boys are like 200lbs behemoths and you can get your ribs crushed) then coach’s and administrators would be fine with it
can u do another one of those with other terminologies? I came from Europe to the US and I had no idea what people meant with „get a touch“, guard deep/low/high etc.
Felix Chefski depends on coach really. Low is near goal, high is closer to the half field line. Guard deep is stay lower with your stick (my coach atleast) and get a touch is to get close or even make contact with the person defending you or if your defending make contact with the ball handler
@@lucidity-8421 when my sideline yelled get a touch, and I had no clue what to do, it was to place a foot in the blue box, behind the restrainer, to finish clearing the ball
Matt, why is there so much confusion in lacrosse related to offensive format numbering: whether to count from the end-line towards mid-field or from mid-field to the endline? Every video I watch seems to flip-flop. Any ideas?
+Dan Johnson Dan, yes it can be confusing for sure...The key to be very clear when explaining stuff on the board or to your team. Most videos should explain upfront what the reference point is. At BTB Lax we number from the midline to endline. Thanks for watching the video. Comment on any others and I'm happy to talk more. Feel free to email as well: coachmiller@btb-lax.com
I have a question. On offense and defense, (if your a midfielder) can you just go anywhere and make a pass or like is there left midi and right midi and center? My first game is in 4 days. I need to know.
this vid kinda of help me learn the basics since I'm just starting out in lacrosse

Thank you for helping me understand more before my first season. Originally, I was just going to try to wing it.

Same to you!!
Can you play on the boys team as a girl? Every high school league I know wouldn't allow this most likely

I have talked with my brothers and they said our coach is open to girls being on the boys team.
