      I have been missing your videos. It's good to see you on the move.
      I 100% agree on your gun control. Too many accidents are happening. Whatever it takes to feel and be safe is very wise.
      I'm looking forward to many more videos. Thanks for sharing.

      If I miss a chance at small game so be it
      It’s for sport an a meal
      Not life dependent on it for food
      Usually my hand is around the cracked off portion so she’ll not lost

    Good to see you out and about young fella... Nice little cook up as well.
    I never bush whack with a round in the chamber. An open easy going logging road and I'm by myself, I always have a live round chambered.
    Nothing like the sound of a crackling fire brother.... Cheers Rob.

    Great video but crappy weather!
    I think you're spot on about unloaded versus loaded. It's always best to err on the side of caution especially when you're in the woods and generally away from quick medical help.
    Looking forward to your next adventure.

    Good video! I couldn’t help but feel a huge sense of relief and happiness when the fire was finally lit. Thank you for continuing to test our products and for providing honest feedback. The first-generation trail camera indeed had too many issues, with highly inconsistent quality-you were right to toss it in the trash. I truly hope the second-generation product shows you that we are serious about addressing these problems. Your feedback on the bino pack has been incredibly valuable, and I’ve already shared it with our product team. Perhaps we’ll release a refined version in the future with those details improved. Thank you again for your amazing content and candid feedback! Additionally, we agree with your point-safety deserves more of our attention.

    I like to still hunt (bush wack) for Mule Deer here in BC. All my rifles have removable clips, so when I hit the bush, I close the action, put the clip in, and start my hike! If I see a lot of deer sign, I'll chamber a round safety on just in case. If I dont see anything within 20-30 minutes, I'll empty the chamber and move on. As a rule, I hike with the gun unloaded. Thanks for taking us along! Stay safe out there!😎👍🤙👍🤙🇨🇦
    PS: If there's no video before the holidays,...merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours!!

    I've gotten a couple hundred grouse so far in my life and countless other small game. I always load my single shot 12 or 20 whichever I'm using that day. The gun can't go off unless the hammer is pulled back. I always carry it at my side and am always paying attention. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and some people do stuff differently. I enjoy the video's

    • @shanegiggie
      @shanegiggie 11 дней назад +2

      If I'm on the atv or in a vehicle it's obviously unloaded, but walking it's always loaded. I've walked some nasty nasty trails crawling through some thickets and the hammer hasn't ever pulled it self back with out me doing it.

    Good stuff buddy. Nice chest pack too. I usually keep a round in my crack off if it's broke open. I never have issues with shells falling out and just keep it cracked open over my shoulder. I will sometimes have a round in the chamber and safety on of I'm alone and on a trail. But never if I'm bush walking or with another person.

    Awesome video skipper. I’ll have to agree with you 💯 on the loaded firearm. I have a rule if you’re going in the woods with me our guns are not loaded it’s safe and it’s fair to the game I’m hunting as well. I hate yelling at the tv when people load a round in the chamber and go for a walk lol.

  • @MoonShadow74
    @MoonShadow74 10 дней назад +1

    In my area, when I used to go out hunting, we have lots of bears both black and grizzly. It would be be just plain stupid to not be locked and loaded. But you are there in your area with a few black bears and those damned ferocious squirrels so I suppose you are better off playing it safe if you don't think you can control the discharge from your weapon. About grouse; in my area when flushed, they fly about 50 to 100 feet and then take a 90 degree turn to the left or right, every single time. It makes it easy if you know how they will react. I have gotten lots of grouse by knowing to look in the area that they think is safe.

  • @davidmills1847
    @davidmills1847 11 дней назад +1

    I was taught to always handle a gun as if it was loaded. So you are always controlling where its pointed etcetera. So I hunt with one in the chamber with the safety on. I always unload when walking a road, approaching other hunters, obstacles and when I stop for any amount of time etc. I agree that it is safer to walk with it unloaded but in many instances its just not practical for me. But if it works for you then that's good also. As long as its safe. All the best.

I had to comment on the things you said about gun safety I 100persent agree with you. You can never be to safe with a gun my taught is if you have to have a gun ready that quickly I'm sure you don't even know what your shooting at. Take care buddy and keep up the good work love your dogs too. Andy
