If there's a next time, I'd say weaponry needs to be massively improved for defense, such as a turret that places a wall in the track, which only its own colour can pass through. Likewise a bubble tower which removes a bombs ability to explode. On that same note, if the cannons can be destroyed so easily, they need to be placed far faster, such as doubling how many balls are in the cannon chamber?

The only way you can gain ground in this game is bombs, but if the enemy is set up all the bombs do is hurt your own. Red/Yellow fell behind and there was never a chance they ever came back. I'm usually not a fan of the always being a super weapon that is the real item that decides the match, but this was way too far in the other direction.

Definitely my favorites of all time!! I loved the Tower Defense concept. Here are some ideas I had that could be fun: 1: I like that each tower had a max range, but I didn't like that the tower waited until it was aiming before it would shoot. Maybe increase the rotation speed once a unit enters its max range? 2: I didn't really like the friendly fire of the units. If a red bomb blew up, it destroyed red buildings. 3: Adding a large tower as a last line of defense would be awesome as well, one that powered up slowly or unlocked at a later time 4: I loved the upgrading concept for the units, but if the ball stayed left the best unit would come and vice versa for the right side. I would love to see each upgrade stagger something like this: Toughness 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 Speed 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 Size 2 - 4 - 6 - 1 - 3 - 5 Bottom line, this was so much fun to watch! Seeing the yellow stealth units holdup blue at 9:00 I wonder could this sort of 'clogging' effect be introduced as a primary facet of another of this sort of 'race'. A sort of tug of war with the cannons there to try to aid their side of the tug of war. Should lend itself to a back and forth, as each side would have more cannons at home till a sort of final push that wins the game.
getting one low stat tended to lead to another and so on, so maybe if you do this again make it alternate every value? (i.e. toughness goes 1,2,3,4,5,6 and then speed goes 6,5,4,3,2,1) otherwise, great as always!!
I think to ramp up the intensity faster there should be a point where the weakest options get locked. Like the outer two creeper columns with the lowest numbers.

You could just play this out over and over again, without alteration, and it would be fascinating to watch. Main problem I have is that I don't know what all the cannons do (range, effects, strength, etc.) nor what all the vehicle options are. Second problem I have is that I want to play it.
He had to build the game to make the video, so most of the game is already there! But on the other hand, getting a game ready to ship takes so much more effort and fixing of unexpected issues... making game/videos is a fun middle ground between creativity and effort.

This is awesome - reminds me of "Castle Fight", an old map from Warcraft 3. You'd build barracks that auto spawn soldiers to fight for you, as well as towers. This has the same feel. Putting my money on red due to its performance in my last video :P

worth the wait mikan! thanks for the incredible marble race! also can you do a second channel where you post past concepts that have a good like to dislike ratio? or just concepts you thought were good? like the mikan2 thing the other guy commented about. such as growing tree, this, ammo mixer core destruction? also a tournament channel where you do tournaments by making a bracket, then doing a concept like multiply and release, and then winners face other winners, and so on until a winner is reached. maybe have it be 2 vids (first round has 32 marbles in one vid then 16, 8, 4, and 2 marbles in the other vid) per tournament. 2 tournaments per week? i think it would be a pretty cool way to keep introducing new concepts while keeping old ones. plus, more content and ad revenue for you, so we’re all happy

I can only imagine the amount of times these simulations have to be redone to get to an engaging and interesting result. I'm sure 90% of the time it ends way too fast or it's boring. It's relying on randomness to construct a narrative.

There's a distinct bias in this game. The balls have a tendency to be pushed to the left side of the board options for some reason. And yet you have blue's numbers reversed, so being pushed to the left is good for them.
The concept is overall INCREDIBLE. the only flaw is that you didn't implement the Crisis mode. I think Crisis mode would only be unlocked a few minutes into the game, and it adds an extra ball for the tower creation wheel and only occurs when theres little defending towers on the team

I think the clogging is further advanced by the shape of the units being sort of a tessalation.
