- This is the first of a series of videos made on our Gujarat Trip. We covered many places in Gujarat. This part covers our journey starting from Vadodara. We visited the wild ass sanctuary at Dasada near Ahmadabad then proceeded to Bhuj via Bhachau. From Bhuj we went to Kala Dungar or Kalo Dungar. The next part would continue from where this part ends and will highlight the white desert at Rann of Kutch and many other places.
The videos have been shot, edited and processed by Tirthankar Haldar. If you like this video please leave a line of comment and follow me to the next part which will be named Gujarat Trip Part II

I have visited Meghalaya, Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, UP, Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Uttaranchal. This week I am going to your Orissa ( the trip may only include Bhubaneshwar, Puri, Cuttack, Konark and Baleshwar most probably.) I can spend only ten days in Orissa this time, as my mother, 80, will be with us and she may not be able to travel much. I may not be able to visit tribal villages and wildlife sanctuaries. But museums, forts, temples, cities and some nearby villages are a consolation awards. Today, thanks to You Tube, I have got an opportunity to watch your video here and I just can't help dreaming going Gujarat. My next vacation will be for YOUR Gujarat. Thank you Tirthankar Haldar ji, for generously offering this to us. I think I too should make videos by editing some of my trips through India and Nepal. (I am a teacher in in the town of Itahari, NEPAL)
+Dinesh Poudel Thank you very much for your nice words for my effort.
According to Wiki, Kutch is the largest district in India with an area of 45,652 km². Leh is the second largest district with an area of 45,110 km2.
Looks like you had a great time sir!!
Very nice!!
duarje k tazia muhrram naat
Very Good effort Mr. Haldar.
Was very informative. What could have added more value is, what is the right time?
Like, I would have preferred to know, what is the right time to see Kala Dungar? Is it during sunset or noon?
I understand from your part II that the next stop was white desert.............. if that is the case, can one make it to white desert during sunset?
And also, there are chances for you to have gone out of the route...or may be y=would have explored better routes... wuold have appreciated the sharing of that also.
Just for an example, would have appreciated something like this "start(ed) from Bhuj at **.**(AM/PM) and reaching Dasada will take ** hours etc.,
Even with the technology today, finding few things like above is difficult. Only tour operators advertise, their plan.
Such details will be very very useful for the commonors.
For eg. Me myself was confused, if going to kalo dungar and white desert on the same same day, how do i plan?
I know it is a pvt album that has been shared. What you did is a very good job and informative, no doubts.
Great applause for you gentle man. Good Job.
Thank you for your comments. I suggest you start from Bhuj after breakfast, proceed straight to Kala Dungar. See fox eating Prasad around noon, then head for white desert. On the way have lunch. You won't get good eatery on the way. So I suggest you pack your lunch from Bhuj itself when you start. You will reach white desert much before sunset. Enjoy sunset at white desert and start back after sunset.
nice effort sir...
Thank you Dipen for your good words
wonderfull
Thank you
fantastic!!!
Thank you Prachi for your encouraging comment
Very nice video, have visited Tanzania and Kenya in Africa, wonderful wildlife, terrain and people. Would like to visit India someday, it is interesting to see such varied terrain, the people, the wildlife, I am an avid birdwatcher, and even the wind turbines which we have in abundance here in the US, great video, Thank You!
Thank you very much for appreciating my efforts. India is a great place for tourism as it is a subcontinent in itself. The amount of diversity you will find here in the people and their culture. It is a great place for bird watching also with three major bio-diversity hotspots and a huge ecological diversity. It is a MUST VISIT if you are interested in serious birding. My son Tanmay Haldar is a wild life photographer. You may get in touch with him at tanmay.haldar@dcpexpeditions.com. He will be happy to help you
