Not the main point of the video, but it's always interesting to me to hear how words we've borrowed into English sound different in their original languages - never would have guessed that the "y" in "psyche" originated as an "u" sound, but now I'm going to think of that every time I see a Greek word with a "y" in it.
It is. A good one is τύραννος < tyrant. BTW this is a great resource if you are curious about how generally people pronounce ancient Greek (somewhat arbitrary as there is noone to ask, but traditional since the 1700s). atticgreek.org/pronunc_qt/upsilonU.html
Which story do you mean? I know she is responsible for creating dream images or eidola of various people (Helen) and she deceived Ixion with a cloud version of herself.
I have read that our concept of the soul owes more to the Greeks than the Jews. That the Jews originally believed that was it when a person dies like the Sadducees in the new testament. Or the shade of a person descended to Sheol when a person died whatever they were or did in life. Sheol seems pretty much exactly the same as Hades.
But what is this "Western Idea of a soul"? I think people have very different ideas about what the soul is. I don't know of any general soul in the entire West.

How do you think the concept of the psychê changed after Plato? Is it closer to what we understand it to be now?

Glad you enjoyed it! Agreed, transmigration is another extremely interesting topic.
What about Hera being the goddess that generated souls? What kind of soul is that?
