Fun fact about this song: there actually was going to be a vocalist on this song until the drummer repeatedly bashed the vocalists head into his drum set causing a lot of damage to the brain.
Guitarists are like "I can't possibly play this", and I'm over here like "I'm not even sure I'm able to listen to it right." So insanely complex... amazing.
It took me a year to grind on this song, and to pay attention to the details in the "finger tones". I am not planning on moving on prematurely without finishing this song
My oldest daughter got to see these guys live and I had to miss the concert. Talk about mixed emotions. I’ve never been happy/excited for someone, while also being disappointed and slightly jealous😂
the drums arent exactly hard but the way he plays emulating an electronic beat is unique and (by far) the best Ive seen. And such good taste in the fills, clay is really on point
Gotta say, I LOVE how everyone gets equal screening in this. No one is above the other, everyone has their time in the spotlight to show their chops and they do what most bands should be doing from the start: Making awesome music together with collaboration and teamwork. THAT'S what it means to be in a band.
Without vocals, gotta do something for 3 plus minutes. Not really "solos". ill admit, I'm almost 40 and I just didn't get this band at first. I'm comfortable enough to say that the younger generations are annihilating the boxes that even the most creative have constructed for ourselves back in the day. I used to say it has no hard or feeling or that it's 10 lb of s*** in the bag but really I could never think of doing it the way they do it. Lastly, I see a lot of people covering their licks or riffs and for a second it kind of has me thinking that what did you even so unique. But they created it. It's mind blowing and like I said I'm comfortable enough to say that they're doing things we just couldn't conceive when I was a kid.
I completely disagree with you. It seems pretty obvious to me, they gave that absolute animal sitting behind the kit in this video, WAY more of a spotlight than the rest. Am I the only one seeing this? I mean, if you go back and take a look... That glorious, sexy, machine of a drummer is in the spotlight for about 3 mins and 35 seconds. And the rest of them? Well, after watching it again I'm wondering if there are even any other band members... Seriously, I'm only seeing a drummer guys. Well, the video must have been shot inside of someone's pants... Since, I can only see the drummer, it's obviously taking place where he's at. It's pretty, again obvious to those of us with ears, that he's in the pocket. For the entire video. Something that deserves an award... and hell, also a REward, in and of itself, considering what exactly he's having to drum to. Someone give this man some ice cream, a noble piece prize.. for being the most noble *piece* of kit that any guitar player could hope to have in their arsenal. Dude is absolutely bonkers... I don't even play drums, I play guitar... Yet I know exactly where my eyes are every time I come to cum watching this video.

They might not be "the best ____ player ever," but certainly a higher caliber than most. That's just my opinion though; I don't think there's any one correct opinion here, so I appreciate hearing yours too.
@@hannahlanai yeah i'm just pointing out henson guy cuz he really stands out in terms of skill, the rest well their skills are above average as you say but source: trust me there are a lot of above-average masters of musical instruments out there too and henson guy is still above even them imo

Clay Aeschliman is just so good at what he does, so clean and precise. Dude is a drum surgeon, only way I can describe it.
Every time I hear this guitar, I'm glad I'm a bass player
How come the drummer doesn't do a drum solo while casually walking around the room? 7.8/10
in my opinion the drum solo starts at 2:24
@@gamespy92 But he doesn't walk around the room like a boss while doing it :|
Nope, he teleports. walking is for chumps. He appears in three different places without getting up like a boss. Your move Lars.

Every member of Polyphia is the type of musician that inspires you to either pick up your instrument and grind like hell or give it up entirely.
Unless you're a vocalist
I am on that grind bro
Because of this type of musicians i'm getting better every day... just the main riff of this song was a crazy learning adventure...

It's well worth learning, as someone who is fairly new this is like punching yourself to build up your boxing ability😂
It took me a year to grind on this song, and to pay attention to the details in the "finger tones". I am not planning on moving on prematurely without finishing this song

The drummer is amazing, there's no doubt. That said, he gets a lot of credit for the added percussive brilliance of the rhythm player, too.

Gotta say, I LOVE how everyone gets equal screening in this. No one is above the other, everyone has their time in the spotlight to show their chops and they do what most bands should be doing from the start: Making awesome music together with collaboration and teamwork. THAT'S what it means to be in a band.
I totally agree
Especially the vocals!
@@roachroachin7193 it s their style, u like it or not! i can t stop listening to this
Without vocals, gotta do something for 3 plus minutes.
This hits harder than a drunken stepfather.
