That was very helpful. Since 73 mainly as a guitar player I have tried to figure out the notes and I don't think he could even tell you what he was doing on the guitar. A mystery that noone will ever duplicate to my ears at least. Back to what you just showed us, I hope to use the information to help me at least form a better feel for it. I love your videos.
Hi Terry -- I'm the guy that did the slow-motion MIDI Moby Dick from Earl's Court that you mention @9:19. I'm hoping to do more soon. Great content you have here!
Thanks for this. Love this part of Dazed & Confused, especially the interaction between Bonham and JPJ before the "San Francisco" part. I get a kick out of JPJ mouthing "Oops" to Bonham. I've never been able to figure out what the Oops is for, though. I don't, however like what they did to the sound when they remastered it for the Special Edition DVD. They completely neutered Bonham's snare sound. The attack is completely gone and there is a bunch of reverb. The snare sounds totally hollow.
Hi F-I think the 'oops' is that Bonham lays back very hard on the crash downbeat and Page (and possibly Jones) aren't quite with him on it. As you said, it's a GREAT clip. I'm with ya-Page recently gave the MSG '73 Bonham sound the 'How The West Was Won' sonic treatment... Have you noticed in WLL how the drum riff into the outtro is changed from the original? The dotted snare/floortom/bassdrum accents have been almost eliminated.
I can't believe you did a 16 min video on this very lick, which has always been a standout to me!! I love it! We need to talk about the part that comes after these phrases. When he grooves on it! Let's discuss....next time!
Mr Zoleum, your camera setup and general scene makeup is great here. I feel like I'm in the room with you. In fact, I sat here uncomfortably and urinated myself rather than getting up and walking down the hall.
Watching you makes me realize how little I know
I here that!!! You rock TERRY! Thanks for ALLLLL that you do for myself and other BONZO fans!!! 😁

Thank you, Philip!
This is one of first videos I watched of yours and said why doesn't anyone talk about that part bonham does and here it was lol. Ty

Ability and Insight wise Terry is one in a universe, kinda like John Bonham!
YOU SHOULD have BEEN BORN John Bonham ! I DON'T BELIEVE EVEN John SPENT this MUCH TIME ON the DRUMS
I don't think he did, considering he.. You know... died and stuff
That is a very kool fill u got to love it. Keep rocking tk
Thank you, Keith!

You kill me...maybe, just maybe, you'll want to drink half the cup of coffee...LOL! Thanks man.
Great Terry thanks
That's a cool lick
Nice hair piece, Terry
Luis Rodriguez it looks real. It must be expensive.
13:48 Epic... That face.. ^^
Good Old School Bonzoleum
Terry i was hoping you would also do the second part of that where he goes back and forth from floor tom and double hits on the snare of you could?
Ah yes-I should have thought of that... I'll get to it..
That's the part I wanted to do!! 😉
You need 2 marks on your stand. Voice height and Blitzkrieg height.
Forget trying to sell your T-shirts, you need to sell Terry Bonzoleum wigs. You'll make fortune.
Terry, we can hear you fine even with the mic up high. No need to look at it or raise your head. You're coming in loud and clear brother.
Thank you, Mike-it's a habit I'm trying to break.
TWO!!!!
Will you make video about “Bonzo’s Montreux”?
It sounds like the life in the fast lane rif, but on drums
Great stuff
What happened to the play along with zeppelin vids?
Lemmy mic?
Did bonham use controlled sounds? I thought he used coated emps, I thought cs would be too fragile and too dead for bonham
you're a funny guy:-) hey what do you mean funny funny like how what do you mean like a f****** clown do you like I amuse you
I would say BonzoLEUM rather than BonZOleum.
I prefer linoleum to mausoleum!
Let's call the whole thing off.....
