Days Gone - THE BEAR CREEK HOT SPRINGS AMBUSH CAMP - The Best & Easiest Ways To Take Out This Camp.

- Hi folks, on my Ambush Camp series of videos, I focus all my attention on one particular Ambush Camp, and on this video, it's THE BEAR CREEK HOT SPRINGS AMBUSH CAMP that gets my full attention. On every video, I will show an Optimal method (a method which I consider the best & done with resources only available at the time you likely take on this camp), a sniper rifle method & also a horde option should there be one nearby (and for this camp, THERE IS). These videos will become a valuable guide for anyone looking to make light work of any of the Ambush Camps in Days Gone, and of course, if you have better weapons than what I am using, the job will be made even easier. Every camp is taken out with the difficulty level of Survivor II, so this is as hard as it will be for anyone, so on easier difficulty settings, the job will be a far easier affair. Great guide! Thank you. I almost always take out ambush camps with the drifter crossbow. For a few reasons; first, it's silent, just like a sniper rifle with a suppressor, but the suppressor won't burn out. Secondly, the entertainment factor is second to none when playing with the residue bolts, which puts the bad boys and gals to take out one another for me. They often only manage to kill one, if any, before they are killed by the others. But still, a kill is a kill. Just to listen to the voice lines and watch the goofy show when they go after one another is just super fun! I can spend a long time on each ambush camp just to enjoy the comedy. 😁
Some very good points indeed there Ruth. Generally, the optimal method is designed to work with whatever weapon you are most comfortable with, and the crossbow as you rightly pointed out, is always silent. Now, although I haven't shown any Residue Bolt runs yet, they will be shown on a number of the biggest camps in the South (the ripper camps especially are very entertaining in the Iron Butte region). Have you not completed days gone? Or all marauder camps? You get a weapon called rock chuck for doing so and it has a suppressor that never breaks. Imo crossbows not that great on here as they get no accessories or scopes id rather use rock chuck or ssd suppressed as imo best sniper alround until you unlock bnd 150
@@user-nw5iy1mp3n I have indeed completed the game a couple of times. I do use sniper rifles sometimes due to the great advantage of the scope that makes certain missions far easier. But I just happen to like the crossbow, and not the least due to the speciality bolts that are fun to play with. :)
Another masterclass ! If Days Gone was taught in school back in the day , I'd be at the top of the class thanks to your guides. I really like that you give us different options to take out the camp as you cater to people's play styles. I always look forward to my Saturday class taught by the master himself. I realized my approach towards marauder camps are poorly planned, mostly not analyzing the area well to my advantage esp now im playing it on survival on my 2nd run at the game oof. I never got killed but always came out with almost empty ammo and battle bruised.
Again your guides towards these are helpful as always, survival gave me a reality check how hard camps can be as hordes do. But im enjoying the challnege so far, the scare resources gives extra realism to the post apocalyptic setting

Sometimes other hordes are pretty close to ambush camps and how marauders I will say 50 marauders could attack the horde
And than wipe out by the horde
This reminds me the last of us episode 5 when the resistance were attacked by the horde of infected and a bloater shows up with the horde of infected
True Stephy, most of the Ambush Camps can be taken out with hordes. Only 3 of them are out of reach of hordes.

I remember this ambush camp of course I was less stealthy and ended up with a firefight both from the outside and also inside the house, it was like the scene from the movie Young Guns lol. It was pretty cool though to aim throwables through the windows, a bit like Groose Gardens where the horde 'frat house' is 😉
Got to admit, the first time I ever took on this camp, I ended up with a huge firefight also.

I just want to say thank you for making these videos. I had no intentions to take on all the hordes in the game. But, using your strats as a guide, I just got 100% horde killer today. Next step is going for the platinum.

First time I came across this Ambush camp it was coming to early dawn & I could see that horde moving off in the distance. Scared the beejesus outta me. Lol Since then I’ve tried to bring them into camp, to help take out the ambushers, but for some reason they are one lazyassed horde for me. 😂 Also I always take them out from the worst possible direction. Your vids always serve to entertain & educate. I’ll be waiting for the next one!

I don't know whether it was this one or the other one with the secret entrance, but there was a marauder on the other side who killed me as I was going thru the painfully long crawl animation and there was nothing I cud do😂

Don't go into game thinking its call o duty bro hehe you start of weak have limited stamina and poor weapons. 1st tip learn the map its urban areas names ie Marion forks is 1. Dont worry bout taking on hordes at start they come later.
Ps me I always burn nests in crazy Willie's area as doing so makes fast travel easier. I'm saying this coz map can look overwhelming to new players.
Ps imo 1st 2 skills to unlock = focus + melee repair skill (repairs melee weapons using scrap). Ie your bike can be upgraded, send any survivor you find to copelands and regarding petrol for bike theres stations with pumps 1 in homebase plastic fuel cans in nero sites and marauder camps and in camps for camp credits ie bike damage and refuel costs cc

Hey is there a way to get the US556 rifle in the field?
@@camryuser There is mate, but, you need to have opened up the Iron Butte area to be able to get it. Not going to give away any spoilers, but after one of the longest missions in the game has taken place, you then have access to the Iron Butte region. If you head to where the Iron Butte horde reside, there is a truck close to the road becide the horde that has a US556.

Hey how do you handle packs of wolves? I got wrecked a few times.
I ended up using 3 molotovs and lots of ammo just to kill 3.
@@camryuser Once you have the SMP9, the wolves are no longer a problem. Just take the time to kill 4 hordes very early game, and you will unlock the SMP9. This is my go to weapon for the wolves mate.
Best optimal way is coming from bottom on left side were bunker is as long as your not spotted you can stealth kill all around there when coming up ramp then guy infront of car bonnet other by green wood structure and other 2 can stealth kill then peep over top and kil sniper below its the guys in house that the problem theres 14 ppl here is it?

@@borislav247ye as long as not spotted going up ramp your fine as you can creep past bunker door n take her out on left. But my 1st pt lol i alerted that side and omw it was a hard fight trying to get up that ramp haha if your lucky you can catch guy coming outta front door on right top of ramp then him fixing car other up ramp 1 by tree n 1 were u came in and peep over n kill sniper hehe. Stealth is key here as I saw they all group up top if too alerted and dig in and sightlines are all in defences favour.

@@borislav247 yes its like a half moon the route from house i take either bottom on left or go front gate take out sniper then creep left side around Bridge. Ps I see no strategy going up right ramp. You showed secret way into camp also ur spot on with them too 1 of easiest ways of infiltrating camps id say this camps a real challenge if u never played this game or camp before I remember 1st time lol I played it like call o duty but ended up being like d day lol if the heavy spots you b4 comin up ramp they all mobilise behind cover and it was a hard fight infact I had to change my strategy lol as the top of ramp had bout 3 4 guys dug in.
@@user-nw5iy1mp3n Indeed my friend. Get into a gunfight with this lot and you get problems. Got to admit, I rarely go in COD style (one of the videos I do, but I'm not telling which one, lol), I far prefer keeping the marauders in their patrol formations so I know where they all are.
Recent videos seem a little washed - out in colour and contrast. Are you having tech problems?
Not that I'm aware of. However, the first few camps in this video series have been taken on when the Days Gone weather was horrendous, so this would make the picture look hazy, this video included, lol. Thanks for letting me know though mate.
@@borislav247 the weather effects are pretty good. Been watching on my phone recently (wife was WFH so she'd claimed the monitors lol) so, hard to tell if it's rain and mist or flaky colour.

Days Gone is a very fun and engaging game, but its also a very easy game.
You don't need a "simplest or best" way to approach any situation in this game. The only thing that will get in the way of fulfilling any mission is yourself.
It takes incompetence to fail at anything in this game, and I can attest to this as I am the worst gamer on the planet. Yet I easily beat this game on its hardest difficulty. The game wants you to succeed.
Simplest or best way isn't relevant. Most interesting way is probably a more accurate statement.
You beat these missions enough times that you find out of the box methods to achieve the same goals.
I'll happily accept that some of your statements are true, but I do go out of my way to present options that people will want to try. I'm simply going out of my way to produce an encyclopedia of Days Gone videos, as I love this game so much.
