Ushuaia (/uːˈʃwaɪ.ə/; Spanish pronunciation: [uˈswaʝa]) is the capital of Tierra del Fuego, Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur Province, Argentina. It is the southernmost city in the world.[2][3] Ushuaia is located in a wide bay on the southern coast of Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, bounded on the north by the Martial mountain range, and on the south by the Beagle Channel. It is the only municipality in the Department of Ushuaia, which has an area of 9,390 km2 (3,625 sq mi). It was founded on October 12, 1884 by Augusto Lasserre and is located on the shores of the Beagle Channel surrounded by the mountain range of the Martial Glacier, in the Bay of Ushuaia. Besides being an administrative center, it is a light industrial port and tourist hub. Ushuaia is located roughly 1,100 kilometres (680 mi) from the coast of Antarctica and 245 kilometres (152 mi) from the Chilean city of Punta Arenas.

The usual abbreviation for Buenos Aires in Spanish is Bs.As. It is common as well to refer to it as "B.A." or "BA". While "BA" is used more by expats residing in the city, the locals more often use the abbreviation "Baires", in one word.

Yo tuve la gran suerte de conocer Puerto Madryn, Bariloche, El Calafate, Usuhaia, etc y los paisajes son una maravilla pero lo mejor son las personas que viven allí.

Thanks for posting this video, it brought me to May 2019 when I spent 2 nights in Ushuaia. The very same streets that I walked on. I could almost feel the chilly weathering of Ushuaia by watching this from Singapore. I would be back !

@@satrial5872 si pero se puede explotar mucho mas creo que a eso se refiere,podria ser una de las principales fuentes de ingresos del pais como tambien la pesca que esta en manos de extranjeros,la patagonia tiene un potencial increible en turismo, el glaciar perito moreno ,chapelco en bariloche ,villa la angostura son lugares alucinantes

Te recomiendo que mejor vayas viendo el tema de la economía en mi GRAN ARGENTINA los lugares pueden ser lindos, pero si la economía es mala no vas a poder vivir bien o siquiera vivir

I was in Ushuaia on 9 March, 2020, and of the very numerous places that Linda and I have been, Ushuaia was one of the most enjoyable. Of course the weather was great when we were there., and I understand that it's pretty harsh there most of the time. Nevertheless, We enjoyed Ushuaia tremendously, but after you've seen all there is there I can imagine that it would get old fast! -Gunny T sends

Viajé desde Chile pasando por el Paso Garibaldi donde había mucha nieve. En Ushuaia un lindo día de sol y de pronto calló una nevada que no dejaba ver. Lo pasé genial,muy linda ciudad. Me encantó.

Ushuaia es majestuosa! Lo único que le faltaría, sería mejorar un poco las veredas, y hacer algún que otro edificio moderno, como los que hay en Noruega o Suecia.
Aprovechar lo turística que esa joya, y pulirla lo más que se pueda.
Cuando la situación mejore y esta cuarentena termine, regresaré.

El país no le gusta invertir para que le vaya bien al país. Ushuaia tendría que ser la segunda provincia que mas turismo tenga y sin embargo es una provincia mas..
Habria que tomar el modelo español que fomentó la industria del turismo e invirtió en infraestructura para el mismo, hoy en día recibe el doble de turistas que México (más de 80millones anuales)
@@lucianabanana976 España recibe turismo por las películas, youtubers, libros que se crearon ah, el gobierno no invierte nada en turismo
no va a pasar mientras tengamos este poder adquisitivo de mesada de niño los domingos de alemania

I love Ushuaia, I traveled there a couple of times in summer, winter and autumn, it is always beautiful, like no other place I visited. Sometimes I dream I'm there and don't wanting to wake up I close my eyes and imagine myself there

I recommend you to go to Misiones, not just The Cataratas of Iguazu, my father was from Obera, I remember when we go visit our relatives stop in the road to look at the sown fields, different shades of green cover the mountains, it's really beautiful, the land is red and contrasts with the green of the abundant vegetation, I live a thousand kilometers away and I dream of being able to see those fields again
