For the talk about the cool camera shot during the first supplies challenge, I suspect it was a small drone that has guards on its propellers to protect the cast. And small drones like that can find little spots to idle under tree canopy or such. They might have even had a designated spot prepared for it to hover when waiting even.
And I assume the pilot would be in direct coordination with a producer or director to ensure that the drone won't hit survivors passing back and forth down the path.
They probably practiced with the testing crew.

I really don’t think Jon did anything wrong! Maybe he should have gone harder on getting Andy out but it feels like they wanted him out and not Andy which made no sense!! I can’t believe they saw Banu and made the exact same choice
At least Banu was endearing, Andy has a super creepy vibe

There is NO way that Andy is as insecure as he presents himself to be. Contestants are always full of confidence -- sometimes too much. IMO, this is all an act on Andy's part to try to show he is no threat. So far it's working.
I felt like Andy was trying to be like the musician last season who would go off with Kenzie and she would console him & bond. He said he was into Rachel in his pre interview and wanted to team up with her. I think he’s being super weird & then when his plan of them being tight didn’t go well since she sorta pushed him away because he started all that anxiety stuff & confiding in her too fast he started spiraling. 🌀

Everytime you say “Jon Lovett” my brain initially defaults to “Jon Lovitz” and lemme tell ya…that is a fun mental picture.
Another season where I watch zero episodes of Survivor but consume all of the pods from NoBuffs.

Love the show, I'm really glad to be back hearing y'all breaking down Survivor! Nora has been an awesome addition and I'm loving Rate My Buff lol.
I will say, I know JDs got his curmudgeonly persona but sometimes it tips into just being an asshole. Andy was being performative? Foh with that, show a little empathy. The guy was clearly dealing with real emotional distress in an extremely public setting and it bums me out to see the pile-on happening online. JD's commentary really missed the mark and I think it's irresponsible to casually throw aspersions like that given what it's like for these people to deal with how awful so much of the online reaction is.
I really do love the show, including JD. Just wish he would keep his more negative opinions to the game itself and have a bit more of a heart when talking about the poeple
@nobuffs the hows my buff segment is a great idea. I usually listen on spotify so don't watch. As soon as this segment started i switched to youtube. I imagine that worked on others too. If it is a calculated move, great move. either way, great show as always.

Honestly its a joke. Andy doesn't deserve to be in the game he practically gave up.....I skipped the rest of the episode after the challenge. Stop rewarding weak willed behavior in a game called "Survivor".

just watched this episode, for the question about secret phrase, pretty sure it should be either "GOOD MORNING SWEET WORLD" during the first talk with Jeff or "you heard here it first, turn up, love you guys, awesome" when you got voted out
The old ladies plastic surgery makes it hard to watch and the guy who is already crying is the perfect example of this soft generation.
I look forward to TK modelling the buff look where it's basically worn as a whole body swimsuit style thing
