FYI, Urdu poetry is very deep no matter how nice the translation is done still it doesn't do justice. you have to know Urdu to really feel it. Mixing up Urdu and English gives more flow to rappers.
Exactly. I was actually a little disappointed by CS because of how they translated those Meesha Shafi Urdu lines (which were supposed to be so moving yet straightforward but they made it sound like a little complicated and specific)
You guys got the message right, imo. Both of them have had to hear a lot from people who don't like what they're doing; and Meesha's story actually went way further than that, too, so she's been at the receiving end of a tonne of hate. I think the production of the song also showcases how they're absolute stars, no matter what anyone might think, and no one can take that starlight away from them.
@@no_one1500 yeah she really tried to take down my boy Ali but her voice is insane I can't deny it. I hate that I feel conflicted. She should've gotten a legit punishment
Meesha Shafi is the older one and a mentor of Faris which he admits in the bts. Also Meesha has been more popular than faris and now the Pakistani community has been steadily beginning to the rap game so Faris being a rap genius is likely to be getting on top of the rap scene in South Asia.
Totally on point reaction with the whole ‘be yourself message’ Faris in his sarcastic way calling out fairness and Meesha in her way …take a stand. Loved it!
Meesha Shafi is one of the greatest female voices you will hear from Pakistan. She has a great range and that voice is amazing. Do listen to the track Chori Chori from Coke Studios Season 3
Well Urdu is my native Language, even I have to rewatch his songs just to understand what he's saying. He is fast fast. I love him 💜 The Languages in this song are: Urdu, English and Punjabi.
O yeah baby. Meesha is powerful and successful singer plus actor. She has sang multiple CS songs. Faris is kinda new to industry and getting noticed in recent times.
Yeah you can say thay nobody saw his work. But he has been doing it since 2010. He was a Political rapper at that time. But he has a crazy fan base in India ♥️
I just started to recognize the female singer from last season. Was she in Gul sun? I listen to that all the time. For this song she was the icing on the cake.
So they wrote ,, what they are going through most of the time,,, FARIS needs to be acknowledge ,, everywhere he is breathless ,, and MEESHA has most recently going through a case where she file a case against another well known singer , that what she saying in the song ,, KUDOS TRO SHAFI , siblings ,,, Appreciate your work from Pakistan
At its core...The sing is also about the extremist, fundamentalist track Pakistan has been on in recent decades and years. They are calling them out and challenging them.
Faris Shafi is considered as one of the greatest rappers from Pakistan, if not the greatest! Check out his song Jawab de or Waasta! He usually diss the Pakistani goverment and the society!
Thanks. It’s not about only being CS. We don’t have any bias to just that music platform. This season is lit right now and we are riding it out as we are reacting to other things we enjoy. CS reactions have been a part of this channel for years now and we feel that they are done very well. We have tried other platforms, not a lot but so far we have really enjoyed these. We are always open to trying others.
The song switches between three languages. Urdu, English and Punjabi. Urdu poetry is extremely deep and nuanced and like most native literature, its beauty and depth of meaning is not entirely conveyed in translation. Because Urdu is a sister language of Farsi (it's heavily influenced by Farsi), it's extremely poignant while still being lyrical and poetic.
I thought the song was ok. My favourite part was meeshas , not so sure about her brothers. I hope the next song doesn't include rapping , enough now. Loved your thoughts and comments.
Why don't include rapping? It's a Music Genre. And if you don't like to listen to it then you shouldn't but at least they are making some really gud Music 🎶
It's ok I do like some rapping, the song was ok but we've had three rapping songs so I'd love something different next time. I enjoyed peechay Hutt and yeh duniya
I liked the song ( rap was nice about meesha voice was also amazing and beat 🔥 in the meesha part) But I also want more vocal songs with male and female voices.
please do react on MEIN (MEESHA SHAFI) | Episode 8 | Pepsi Battle of the Bands | Season 3. Sherry is doing a guitar on the background as well as background vocals. You both will like this performance.
Meesha is more stablished singer then Faris she has been with CS for more then 10 years. listen to her old songs specially last seasons "Gul Sun". ruclips.net/video/HF__XxIvGlA/видео.html
Meesha Shafi is such a talented artist and called "Lady Gaga of Pakistan". She is absolutely brilliant. IF you want to listen her more, try "Boom Boom" and "Speaker Phaar" from Pepsi Battle of the band.

Translations would never catch the true essence of the real language no matter which language it is translated from, specially for the natives
Exactly. I was actually a little disappointed by CS because of how they translated those Meesha Shafi Urdu lines (which were supposed to be so moving yet straightforward but they made it sound like a little complicated and specific)
Exactly
That "HELLO" is his signature.
Really? That’s cool

Well, all the hate is pretty well deserved.
Well she did falsely accuse Ali Zafar of r@*e
Ali Zafar is a sleaze. More power to her.
Yupp the hate she get is pretty well deserved

You're very welcome! Appreciate you checking it out!! Great review as always! Wasn't expecting the name drops :)

Was waiting for your reaction. Did you noticed that this song shot on single frame. Its very hard to song without flaw. Love your opinions about it
No. We keep hearing that. We didn’t pick up on that. It definitely felt that way with his parts but didn’t notice it was all in one take. Impressive.
'Hello' is his Signature 👍
O yeah baby. Meesha is powerful and successful singer plus actor. She has sang multiple CS songs. Faris is kinda new to industry and getting noticed in recent times.
Haha Faris is New to Coke Studio not in Industry 😂
@@usmanazam9018 but as compare to meesha. He is relatively new...
Also he is kinda new because nobody saw his work 3 4 years back.
Yeah you can say thay nobody saw his work. But he has been doing it since 2010. He was a Political rapper at that time. But he has a crazy fan base in India ♥️
Glad that you got the message right even though CS didn’t do a great English translation of Meesha Shafi’s lines (which she wrote herself)
You guys are the best. Your understanding of eastern music is quite amazing. Keep it coming.
Please also watch:
Boom Boom - by Misha Shafi - Velo Sound Station.
Misha is a phenomenal singer as well as Faris.
