Around the world, old video games are becoming more and more expensive and I believe this is normal, especially because they no longer manufacture them and as time goes by the tendency is to increase more and more.
That is certainly true and a part of increasing prices. Other important factors to be aware of are the rising costs to operate a business, inflation, etc. My method is to buy, sell and trade. Another way to save money is to buy junk and repair it! I’ve saved some major cash this way. Regardless, the game hunt will continue! More videos are on the way, cheers!
Oh wow. So much hardware in this Off House. I have to say that I visit a store at least once a day too haha! Oh and Alan Wake was one of the few games I played on 360! Stoked to play the second one too.
Just getback from japan 2 weeks ago. Can confirm that the price getting more and more expensive. I hunt for 2ds or new 3ds regular. And I got my limited 2ds in Surugaya Osaka. But, I've only seen 1 new 3ds regular throughout my 10 daya journey in Japan
I must agree, prices have seen an increase. There are still some deals, but it certainly requires a time investment. The new 3DS is a hot item! I hope you scored loads of games and hardware during your trip. Cheers!

Great video as always. I am surprised with the amount of old hardware they had at this hard off. Then again Suzuka only has one hard off on a population of 200.000, having a bit more supply should be normal. I notice however that prices at the "off" houses are all over the place. You can have a discolored gamecube with nothing added for a huge amount and boxed almost mint and complete edition for half that price. You really need to know your prices and be lucky to run into the right one at the right price. Something else to consider is that the YEN dropped 18% since January 2023 in comparisson to the euro, should be similar to the dollar I reckon. That Dragon Slayer was MSX 2 :)
OFF House can be a real wild card as you say. I was able to find a boxed PS2 slim 90000 series priced well below those in this video. More to come, cheers!

Most Hard OFF stores will have a testing station equipped with power outlets, cords, batteries, and sometimes a multi-meter. Testing is usually limited to the goods found in the JUNK section. The stuff in the regular aisles marked with red tags are guaranteed to work and often include a warranty (that's only valid in Japan). They will open up boxes so you can see the cosmetic condition, however. Cheers!

Hard OFF is pretty good with listing both the regular price and the price that includes tax, which is usually larger and in bold. RED tags, like the one in the thumbnail, typically include a warranty. Green tags are used for JUNK and items sold without warranties. Warranties are only valid in Japan. For the PS1? It came in at ¥1650, less than $12. It's a decent fighter, but at $700 -- that would be a hard sale. Haha, cheers!
