Originally from Niagara Falls USA, but live in Florida now, and during my teen years would walk across the bridge both ways 2-3 times weekly and no passports were needed and the agents on both sides actually got to know us by sight and sometimes name, and were quite friendly. During that time there were rumors (Cough, Cough) that some of the American kids would ride their bikes across, and buy firecrackers (not allowed in New York State) in Canada and hide them in the bike frames and bring them back. Also on the outside rail there is a bronze plaque marking the actual border (can still see it in this video)
@@lvfreeAdventures we’re going up on June 15. My wife and I will be staying on the Canadian side and my son and is gf are staying on the New York side. We will be going back and forth from time to time the 5 days we will be there.

Is there a limit on how many times you can cross over back and forth and is bringing souvenirs back fine?
I don't think there is limit, but they may ask why? Souvenirs should be fine
