      Hi! You’re so welcome. I do still use ACV but I make sure my chickens always have fresh water, and then for every day that I do use an additive I’ll then have at least three days of nothing! ✌🏻❤️🐓

    Good information. I enjoy your videos and seeing your Ladies.
    Maybe we are just lucky but, my 17 TSC bought Chickens are all in fantastic shape. No health issues with the 2 year old Jersey Giants or the 1 year old Cochins. The eggs come out clean and the shells are so thick it takes extra effort to break them, compared to store bought eggs. They just get plain water, Oyster shell, grit and Dumor 20% Chicken Starter, exclusively. They don't free-range yet, so I am convinced feeding the higher amount of protein is making a difference...JJ

    What? I've never had any of my poultry lay softer egg shells or any problems because of using organic apple cider vinegar. Then again, I feed a premium feed and my poultry eat on organic pasture. None the less, too each is own. As to where you live: if you're water source is more acidic, the vinegar should be fine on a regular basis. Personally, you have to be careful doing research on Google, because there is a lot of misinformation on there on purpose, unfortunately. I hated using that term, but books or even duck duck go are better sources along with knowing the biology of chickens in the sense of physiology.

      Hi! I have a playlist here called “Chickens in your garden” and I have a list on RealSimpleMama.com that has a lot of the common ones. They love most herbs, hibiscus, grasses, grapevines… as a general rule that most flowering vines are not safe for them, and neither are night shade, which includes tomato plants, although chickens can eat tomatoes.

      real simple mama thinks.I’m letting them enjoy the day because it’s hot here in Corpus Christi. Hard to explain but I built them in one section at 8 x 8 the next section 8 x 12 now this is all together. Completely wired in completely mesh wire in the top. Nothing big can get in copper bottom. So far they’ve been enjoying it. Yes they have a fan. They have a huge tree that they could climb in when they get bigger. Can’t get out because we got it covered. Wish I could send you pictures. Watch you all the time thanks for all the help

    You say chickens don't taste. But why do they have chicken treats? Why do they go crazy for worms, and bugs? My chickens peck at my feet asking for dried worms. I think they do taste, and know what they like. I think they drink the water with vinegar because they're thirsty, and that's all they have. I mean I know it's good for them. But that shit is NASTY.

    • @realsimplemama
      @realsimplemama  Год назад

      I think they probably can taste a little, but they’re programmed to want to eat things that LOOK like bugs. Like their brain looks for things with a certain shape, or that crawl, etc. ✌🏻❤️🐓

    • @keithwatson8228
      @keithwatson8228 Год назад +1

      @@realsimplemama I don't know about all that. I think they know those bugs are delicious. Plus they eat cabbage and carrots and green leafy things. I think they smell and taste just fine. They know what's good for them, and they enjoy a variety of foods rather than the same old thing all the time.

      I did a study in highschool and wrote an essay about chickens so I know the answer to this, chickens can't taste spicy, but the can taste stuff like sweetness and a couple other things. So that's where that incorrect information comes from.

    • @keithwatson8228
      @keithwatson8228 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@imnotatitaniswear8812 yeah but there's really no way to know that unless you can speak chicken. Maybe they can taste it. But they like it, or maybe they can take it or leave it. I know chickens do have opinions. Because they'll have best friends that pair up and walk around together, and they'll have outcasts of the flock.
