Lovely episode! Your shawl is beautiful. The muted & earth tones of your shawl & your make-up look fantastic on you. A sense of Hygge during the whole process of creating something...Love it!
I am currently knitting this shawl. I am loving the process! It is very relaxing and I am using all single ply yarn. I know it is going to be a favorite. Love your version!
Continued... I knitted a best friend who was going through a terrible divorce a loved prayer shawl. Her favorite color yellow (not mine). I chose this amazing bamboo baby yellow yarn that felt like butter. As I said a special prayer for each line I knitted I poured so much love into this shawl shrug so when she would wrap herself in it she could feel the love ❤️ the prayers the safe lovely feeling you described!!!!! I get it! Hygge all the way!!! She thanked me. The next time she was going through a rough patch I mentioned put on the prayer shrug she said her X threw it away. 😤😡😢 There are no words!!! So happy you got that amazing feeling I get the same with my projects lots of Hygge & love ❤️. You made my day!!!! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I’m enamoured with your shawl and the concept of Hygge in general. I have definitely felt the way you do about your shawl. I felt that way about my Vertices Unite, my Exploration Station and my Sundottir sweater. They have all given me that kind of pleasure for the very reason that they’re not Quick Knits; they require persistence and patience. When you choose the right yarn (that yarn that’s right FOR YOU!), it makes it easy to have persistence and patience and to enjoy the finished project to the fullest. I tried to favourite The Girl’s Best Friend Shawl and couldn’t find it. I’ll be more persistent...
I’m your venture into Hygge. You’re inspiring me to knit with thicker yarn. And I definitely know that feeling of safety with a large soft shawl around your neck.
😇🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 OMG Kristy someone else feels like I do!!!! This Hygge feeling is exactly why we knit & crochet. That's why I only cast on in a special place or time so I remember a feeling, a moment of true bliss happiness experience of casting on. My LBI house rental for vacation, meeting a great friend over coffee, talking to a great friend or loved one on the phone, a ride in the car to a favorite place, these are the special places to cast on to get that Hygge feeling deep inside when you put that garment on. So all the hard work, the long nights, the 🐸 frogging & mistakes will be forgotten (maybe because we are sooooo hard on ourselves) & we will remember the happy 😊 place. And when you it it on I want to chant an angel 😇 sigh ahhhhhhhhhhh!!! Am I right? You get it! That's why it's hard to gift 🎁 a cherished precious work of art to someone who is not gift 🎁 worthy!!!
Love it I haven't knitted it yet but one I am thinking about doing. Iike pattern section brown section the most and looks to be a good size. Pineapple soak is my fav fresh and clean. Thanks for sharing. BrambleKnits 🇨🇦
I bought mine when I saw yours on your haul video and I have been working on mine also. I am also running out of Barn Door but I believe I am about 2 to 3 rows that will be missing. I emailed White Barn and they are making more but we both are worried about the colors. Should I just stop and continue without the repeats? Yours looks awesome! I did comment on your Instagram feed before I watch your podcast.
I loved your wearable art piece. I look forward to your podcasts, they are very relaxing to me. I guess your show is Hygge for me. BTW, where's your popin' pretty pink lip color?
Love the project. I really wish kits came with ample yarn, though. I just watched the Knitters League podcast where Julie had a big problem with not enough yarn in her swancho kit from the same place. Maybe you can help them understand they need to err on the side of too much yarn?
kristyglassknits I disagree. Swatching for a shawl should not be required. That’s the beauty of a shawl. I’m making a fade from the neighborhood fiber company kit right now and there are plenty of leftovers. Never would have bought a kit if I had to swatch. You should see that thing with Julie’s swancho. So sad. She was giving up and had tried actually cutting out long floats to use the short bit for extra stitches. Cringing! She also set it up and it being the kit that you inspired, and she loved your project, and there was no way to get more, and it just made me go omg what a disappointment! Really want to try her yarn but would never buy a kit after seeing that happen twice...
This shawl is beautiful and you wear it well , its sad that your message missed some viewers who were more interested in your shade of lipstick 👄? Way to go guys :/ Kristy ; you’re beautiful, with or without poppin pink ! 💕
Oh honey. I love that shawl so much, but I have to be honest because no one else will say it. That particular shade of pink lips are NOT good for you. It makes your teeth look all grey. You do much better with the brighter pinks.
I love this shawl Kristy. I'm an earthy girl. That mustard is delicious. And I love that this shawl makes you feel good. And the most important thing of all is how you feel about your own things. 😊

RIGHT? I thought so!

Thanks Vicki! We're twins!
One of the most beautiful color shawls I have seen lately. Amazing job!
Thanks Patty!
What a beautiful job you did on this shawl. Love it.

New viewer here. What is the name of pattern
Can you please tell me what is the name of the color in your shawl 😊 love your channel. Best regards form Iceland
I used the yarn from WHITE BARN FARM. She dyed up a kit.
Thank you Kristy! Early am knitting on the West Coast - please tell us the name and author of the book again - cozy, calming thoughts needed today.

Great color combo.
Isabell is so brilliant...a ll her!

SERIOUSLY? I wonder if she swatched. I did NOT swatch for this, so that makes it my fault....

I just got 3 colors of magpie and have been debating what to do with it. No more debates! Girl's Best Friend is moving up the queue.

For me, it's all about those pom poms 🐩🎀

Keep checking...she's dying more. Check what Isabel used too

Oh honey. I love that shawl so much, but I have to be honest because no one else will say it. That particular shade of pink lips are NOT good for you. It makes your teeth look all grey. You do much better with the brighter pinks.
Oh! HA HA HA! It was just for fun!
