I absolutely love your film study videos. I mean it, Sanjit, especially when you focus on the linemen. So few appreciate how vital the trenches are to the success of the team. From my perspective the success of a team depends on a great offensive line. Last year's 14 playoff teams included the top 10 best offensive lines in football. Here are the final rankings after the 2023 season ended. 1. Eagles 2. Ravens 3. Lions 4. Rams 5. 49ers 6. Bills 7. Packers 8. Cowboys 9. Chiefs 10. Dolphins As for Munford, your assessment of him was objective. I absolutely love how you show the role of running backs and tight ends in helping out in the blocking scheme. This is how they compensate for an offensive line with weaknesses. Munford isn't listed as a starting lineman but I think he did better than Eluemunor. Munford is huge and in a power scheme I think he's good. I hope trimming down speeds him up but without robbing him of power. I keep hoping we'll get 2 great tackles, that this season Miller and Munford can compete at a higher level. Getsy runs a passing scheme that relies on a QB throwing from the pocket, which is why O'Connell is the better fit but he'll need protection and it would sure be nice if he could get it without having his running backs and tight ends chipping and redirecting edge rushers and they can get out and give our QB more targets to throw to. So much depends on a great offensive line. We REALLY need a top 10 line. We'll need it if we want to climb into a playoff picture.
Just got done watching the rush with incognito, I'm pretty sure one of the rushmail questions was yours, that was a pretty dope episode and that's cool your question got on there, sanjit t is not a common post name so I'm pretty sure it was yours, right on, your channel is my go to, always informative, not loose speculation or wild opinionated theories, good job!
Thank you!! Yes I did see that. I asked that question like 2 weeks ago and forgot I asked, but shout-out to Maxx and his team for getting it on the show
@@MrMartymartYes, Carl is a fan of Munford. I personally don't think Munford will be the raiders long term RT, but there is a chance based on the traits/potential developing
I think the success of our offense depends more on how Munford performs, more than how AOC performs. I think that we've seen enough progress in those last few games to say, okay AOC is developing as we speak. That's something we've actually witnessed in real time. But Munford, it's kind of a waiting game. He has to beable to anticipate those inside moves. I mean. Sometimes it's obvious. You got the RB on your outside shoulder, either the DE bull rushes or cuts inside. I thinks it's more anticipation rather than speed for Munford. And he has to work on not letting the defender get their hands on him so much. He's a big strong Tackle with long arms. He has to beable to use those advantages he has. Definitely believe he can be that guy. We'll know in that first week against Bosa & Mack
Too often fans get critical of a player if he is not an immediate all pro in his rookie year. Huge jumo from college to NFL. Most guys take 2 - 3 years to develop.
@@SanjitT - Your job is to report the facts, not report what people "want to hear". As a fan, that's what Mumford's tape shows, you got it right, he needs some work.
Am I right in saying prior to McDaniel's we were heavy zone? So Miller and James will have that knowledge. Also Munford played a zone heavy offense under Kevin Wilson at Ohio - Is that correct? would the same be said for JPJ and Parham at college? I think I heard you say college play more zone - maybe I got it wrong.
I'm sure you've seen this already but Richie said wide zone is easier to teach zone... I think You've already said this in the past word for word. When McDaniels first arrived and changed to power you said something about it needed the right personnel.
Congratulations on getting on the Rush with Maxx Crosby podcast today 👏
Had no clue, will check it out rn 😂
@SanjitT you're content is always a must-see for real hardcore Raiders fan's, keep killing it, @Sanjit
Was just about to say this 😂
What a jerk!

I am pulling for Thayer Munford. Good run down Sanjit Thank you
Great job Sanji. Thanks for the commentary.

Fantastic stuff Jit
Instead of dropping back it looks like he would benefit by attacking the edge rusher in some spots, use their speed against them
Good video. He will play on the right. Most plays are from the left tackle. Hope he does good at right bc he was better at left tackle.
Yeah it's interesting because he moves better at the LT spot
I’m pulling for Munford.. Hope he can continue to develop into a solid RT
He definitely has some solid traits. He just needs to take that Malcolm Koonce year 3 leap
Raider Films aka Carl always believed he could be… we’ll see 🏴☠️

Munford's ability at Left Tackle makes Miller tradable.
High Second Round pick.
I disagree so much with this!!! Miller is a Top 10 LT. Munford hasn't even proven he's a starter in the NFL.
Trade Miller? Lmao
All theses runs are fine but if don't pass the ball you won't win
You've always been a Munford hater. Raider Films got it right from the start.
Hater? I've criticized him. He has yet to prove anything. I will not crown someone anything until they prove it.
