- Vlog 26 July 2023 | Everyone wants to bring as much with them as possible when moving to Nicaragua. Who wants to relocate without all of their stuff, right? Electronics can be expensive to buy down here so bringing them with you feels like the right way to go. But is it? Maybe doing without some of them would be the smarter choice.

Knives? Pizza cutter? Dough box like 18in x 20 in ?

You can bring that stuff, sure. But you can buy it here, too.
How, your name is "a La Carte Pizza" so you are probably more into pizza that average people. So bringing special stuff yourself MIGHT make sense. If you are doing it for yourself, it's fine. As a business, the import cost will be tough.
It's the same going to states from Canada for work. I worked state side for 3 yrs with a 15 t on passport.
Hi! I'm coming down there with a church group but I'll be bringing a checked pelican case with camera gear so I can film our missionaries. Do you think I'll get taxed really hard or be able to pass through without problems? This isn't for work, it's just to document the activities while there. Thanks so much for any insight you can give!
it's illegal for the border control to hassle you about any cameras. they can't block cameras nor can they tax them by direct executive order. cameras are protected to ensure the right to film the country.
Even a Hollywood film crew with full blown production equipment isn't allowed to be taxed. at least not for its filming gear.

Sure. Same as anywhere. You can get calling plans for anywhere. You can use phones like t-mobile from here. You can always wifi call. Or you can use foreign land lines. Basically any option you'd have in any normal country you'd have here.
What about bringing my dogs in if moving there ?
You can, for sure. I did. I brought two. I have a number of friends who have brought some dogs. It can be expensive and can definitely be risky. But you are absolutely allowed to do it.

How about bringing 2 phones, one ipad, and a laptop?
One of each thing is totally fine. Two phones is not allowed. Many people do and no one notices, since phones are small. But the law is that you get just one of each thing. So you can do it, but you are taking your chances.

Between 0 and 100% basically. You take your chances and it depends how you bring it in.
