There is a reason you do bad with Pyke: You use the wrong Runes.
Aftershock is the rune you wanna take on Pyke since it gives you resitences after you stunned an enemy by going in and you don't die every time doing it xD.
Generally the resitances from Aftershock and Conditioning and the sustain from Bone Plating and Revitalize are worth so much more than anything from the Domination tree.
In the sacondary tree you should take Cheap Shot and Zombie Ward. So basically
- Aftershock
- Bone Plating
- Conditioning
- Revitalize
- Cheap Shot
- Zombie Ward/Ultimate Hunter
I've done super well with that runepage so far and can just recommend it. And play Pyke on support only, don't do it to urself playing him on any other position xD
Itemwise just stick with Black Cleaver into Lethality/Lifesteal/raw AD for the ult scaling.

Change in meta != dying game. This meta has been the best thing to happen to league in a long time, in my opinion.
While im all for change and keeping things fresh, there are certain things that always need to be in the game. If you have something that can unintentionally fulfill every task and have something else that has a sole purpose but isnt used because you can pick the former instead is bad game design and has no place in a competetive environment. Also losing a huge portion of the playerbase in just a few months is a sign that something is wrong. imo of course.

Hail Whydra.
Pyke's dash is about the rough distance of the camouflauge, so I find it easier to save your q to catch out those that burn their flash or run away, rather than use it as a pick. Going aftershock gives Pyke a bit more tankiness that he doesn't have when engaging, so I find it easier to engage a fight starting with my w, dash through the enemy team. This allows the rest of my team to follow up with their cc or dmg, and with a group stun it's easier to land a group ult. Of course if you have enough burst, w, e through the team, use a quick q and chances are you should have lowered an enemy squishy to the threshold, or they are low enough for you to finish after using your ult. Your ult does a lot of dmg anyway and though the execute is nice, if your team is capable of cleaning up and has solid aoe, you can just use your ult to do a lot of dmg.
I've mained Pyke for awhile and all the times when the health bar is red, they should've died

So, I know this channel usually doesn't care about objectively good or not. But Pyke is actually a good champion, just you have to build him tank. Or at the very least you take Aftershock since it let's you stay in fights longer, and it's already hard for you to proc Electrocute. But Frozen Heart and GA are two of the best items. Others being Visage, Maw, Knight's Vow and very situationally Black Cleaver.
