This whole early Newgrounds era was just something else. I was born 1993, we got our first modem-based internet (took like 5 mins until it was fully "loaded") I guess at around 2000. And boy, just venturing into this giant world without any limitations, without censorship, where all this creativitiy could flow freely - I don't think I will ever have this sense of wonder again. Every time you booted up the internet it felt like you went onto a new adventure and experience new worlds. All before mainstream stuff took over, everything got riddled with ads and now tries to appeal to everyone by removing all edges. I hold font memories of the Pico Series, the Madness Series, Skullkid, Bill Cosby Simulator, Fancy Pants (which got an awesome Steamrelease btw.), OneyNG, Psychicpebbles and all the other crew, and all of the other crazy stuff. I know this saying is overused by now, but it really was an easier time and one of wonders. Kind of sad to see how the internet has developed on one hand (although I guess not inevitable), on the other hand I am just super grateful to have had these experiences. Coming home from school, booting up the computer and modem and boom, you ventured into completely new worlds and minds of crazies and geniuses from all over the world. Thank you for the video!
This is an amazing retrospective, you really picked the absolute best and most favorite newgrounds animations of all time for each year! (I cant stress that enough!) But I just can't help to say that you forgot Dad's Home and Dad's at Work! You also definitely missed Scrotum 2-4 but despite being the reason scrotum became so famous those animations were pretty raunchy.
I still will remember newgrounds back when I see it was known for pico's school and even madness combat! way before friday night funkin became a thing. That I even hear how kids now would just come on to newgrounds to play that game that some player from some murder server that used to be popular from Gmod told us about that before.
2 years late lolll… That might be true, but FNF has introduced way more kids to newgrounds stuff like that too, and so they use it for more than just fnf when they learn about more stuff from it
@@megamanmegamanmegamanmegam8725 yeah, i’m genuinely excited to see newgrounds get revived and see younger people get into stuff like picos school… (even if they are a bit young for picos school)
Oh the nostalgia hit, I'd forgotten about legendaryfrog Makes even madder that i cant find the clip i was looking for when i stumbled on this vid. Nice work on the video and damn you for making me realise i work with people younger than saladfingers
You didn’t include Paladin, Miss Dynamite, or Primal War, those had one of the best animations, and stories in the 2000’s era of Newgrounds, aside from that, this is wonderful!

Thank you. 😎👍
@@MMFan2004 this is something I could do a few years after if I was born in 1988 or 1987 instead of 2008, 1998 won't count.

0:35 thats really good for being made in 2000.
Mindchamber is pretty outstanding in terms of design and atmosphere , he created good movies, f.e With my mind madness from 2008.
