The bridge/solo section is of course 4/4 throughout, but I like to think of the "head" as a measure of each of the following: 6/4, 3/4, 6/4, 3/4, 7/8, 5/8, 7/8, 5/8, 5/4. **At 1:02/1:26, etc, Dave is simply modulating to a 4/4 feel over the existing 5/4 measure (Reid and Ethan still playing a grouping of 10 eighth notes over the 5/4). Depending on the instance, they may repeat that 5/4 bar a few times.
I know they are master musicians, but I wondered if they used any looping or anything. Great to see it live to prove to myself that they are just that good
Sorry, man. If you can't understand and appreciate that Jazz changes directions every now and then, and that it's always changed, then you don't like Jazz.
2:19.... a moment so slight but so perfect. What an incredible piece of music.

What solo section?
I love this song
great to hear this live! :}
Not going to pretend I know what's going on here but it sounds damn good
Dave's drumming is genius on this! Love it.
The embodiment of Jazz
esto es oro puro
Amo essa música!
My God these guys can jam.
I was turned on to this by NPR's "All Things Considered," 19 December 2016.
The timing is in 1/1 That should help those who can't count fractions..
it's mixed meter, 6/4, 3/4, 6/4, 3/4, 5/8,7/8,5/8,7/8 for the main ostinato
It's also polyrhythmic at times. 5:4, I believe. At 1:02, and at 1:26, for example. Quintuplets played over the same 4/4 rhythm.
No one plays a Reid Anderson composition better than Ethan Iverson. For all the names thrown at these 3 I’d call them alt-Jazz.
Whats the name of the song?
The call it minimalist
