Nice vid. I notice that having gone vintage over the years and having acquired a good number of pieces, the need for watches and in particular new releases has evaporated. I have my grail for 6 years now, and got most of what I wanted. Today it will be a walk at the cold beach with the 1967 5513 matte dial.
@robynsjp Vintage has quenched my thirst for hype too. Been wearing the 1970 6105 a lot, and looking at a 1981 Quartz right now. 5513 is a beautiful piece 😍
I really like the black dial milgauss. Was on the long term plan. Unfortunately with it's discontinuation last year, the price is starting to soar... Bugger.
@TheRandomWatchDude It's really the Blue dail that is popular. Trading around $ 20k nz. But even the black dial model is now trading $15ish k nz ... Would love an updated version. If it kept its quirks.. That lightning seconds hand and beautiful green sapphire.
Hi Mark when I picked up my Golems watch from the Rolex ad he suggested that it might be discontinued after 1 or 2 years because it's a bit of a niche market. Personally because it is on its own now in the Rolex catalogue separately from the sea dweller I think they might release a bi metal version this year. what do you think??? I also think they might reduce some of the all gold models as gold prices are only going one way and that's a big investment by Rolex and a hard sell in the current world economy when they are going to have to increase all gold watches to follow the gold price. Great video thanks John 👍.
Thats crazy that you came out so strong, saying it's for sure about the discontinuations. (Facts, true facts, guarantee, very good authority, undeniable fact and inside information) I would hate for you to have gotten bad info and have to issue an apology. I'm sure you wouldn't want people to go out and buy grey market for these watches on your information.
No, I'm definitely not encouraging anyone to go out and buy anything. But let's be honest, the Daydate and Skydweller can be had for less than retail now anyway, and the Celebration has always been way over-hyped.
@@Emach76It doesn’t matter if he’s wrong. He’s not giving us this info from a watch investor’s standpoint. Those who rely on rumours to invest in watches are just dumb to begin with.
I enjoy your videos on other subjects 👍. Rolex/Tudor when you think about it provide very little variety, the movements are all much of a muchness, same with the cases (almost all sports/dive style) that's why people get so excited about a new dial with blobs on it. Wake up people, there are brands that offer different movements and radically different case shapes out there.
Totally agree. I think this is the first time in a few years that I'm not excited about anything in the Rolex, Tudor and Omega catalogue. Literally nothing that I would pay retail for right now. Enjoying my Seikos!

What about the Pepsi GMT ? There have been talks for years that it will be discontinued ?
Do it again for April fools day 😂
Next time I will make it properly ridiculous!
Hope your right about the green Sky-Dweller, got it December 2023 and it’s amazing on my wrist.
It's a really smart look isn't it. You will have a very rare example of it come April!
Excellent video mark 👍🏽 😃
Upvote for Mark 👍🏽 definitely one of the honest watch channels on RUclips
Keep up your good work 👌🏽
Gave it a like😊
Thanks very much 😀
New oyster perpetual with jubilee bracelet

Yes indeed!

@@MBCGRS i hadn't realized it was going up in price. Could Rolex release a new version with a crazy magnetic resistance?

The Celebration is a monstrosity that does less that nothing for me.🤢🤮💩

@ oh I agree with the commentary. It just sets you up for to be in a bad spot if the info was wrong.
@Emach76 I'm super confident with my source on this, so we'll wait and see! The funny thing is that W&W starts on April Fools Day!
Sorry, I don't think people should ever treat RUclips content (however good) as financial advice.

The celebration is ugly as sin. Good riddance.
Complete bullshit
