Great info. However, I've given lessons a good portion of my life & I have found in south Texas (where I am) that many owners do not want to address most of what you talk about 😑

So how do you know what bit to try, if the original bit doesn't work? Suggest some styles, please.

I have a 9yo spotted saddle horse. He is a hard pacer. We have tried 3/4 kegs with no luck. The only thing that will get him in his gate is if he is stepping on an incline or dragging a tire.

I have lots of exercises to help a pacey horse, but it is a lot of work.
