Love how you captured the nitty gritty man against tree thrill and legit adventure of solving a one-piece hole in one with real consequences for failure. Also, great that you had the solitude there to shoot video without being interrupted by the distraction dynamic that comes with other peoples opinions around (although that dynamic is pretty adventurous too but harder to film). Felt like I was there with you, due to your way including the audience and probably because I have been there.

+August Hunicke,, thx , I didn't expect everyone to understand this content, but the few that do , like yerself who understand physics, could appreciate that a catastrophic failure was not an option here , and your right, nor was the 'peanut gallery'. Buckin' Billy Ray Smith Thanks! I have done some cutting for a friend on some Box Elders which are a common junk tree here. He has one he asked me about, which I advised I could drop into its 40 degree lean onto his shed, he could wait for it to fall on the shed of its own accord, or he could call a tree service! It's funny sometimes when people think that because an amateur has done some chainsaw work he can perform miracles!

This was the first video of yours I saw. I'm in the states just south of Vancouver. This vid reminded me of the 80s comedies. When we thought they were all American. But latter found out the best comedic actors were Canadian. Dan Akroyd Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas. John Candy. I don't mean to make light of your video because I loved. I have watched quite a few others. This world needs Mr Rogers and Mr Dress Up to come back and teach the next generations of kids. Just stick to the basics. That's all kids need. If they had that we could get lawn darts back and I might feel safe or at least less worried about my safety if one of them had a chainsaw in hand. They wouldn't be able to start it anyway. Not unless it was push button start.

did a very similar thing with a hackberry tree recently, I told the customer what was gonna happen and they didn't believe me, until it did. It was leaning over a structure, I set a tag line, made my notch directly against the lean, wedged and pulled it back to vertical, then just laid into it with the truck and it rolled almost 90 degrees off the stump. Tree was down, structure unharmed and everyone was in one piece.

I took a tree down that was leaning over a house for a friend's mom. I put a long rope on it and hooked it to my F250, put it in 4wd and let out the clutch. It sat there scratching at the pavement in the middle of the street as I went back and finished my cuts. It lifted it straight up and over and fell right where I wanted.
