Brilliant video tutorial my friend. Lord bless. Hope you do many more, I have this wonderful piano but still have a LOT to learn about it. This video really helped me.
PG Tips glad you found it helpful. I think it’s an amazing keyboard that Roland have undersold. The instruction manuals aren’t too helpful. The Effects are what bring this piano to life, but took hours of playing around to understand how they work. There’s a good RD2000 Facebook group where users really help out each other. Have fun my friend!
“Hope you find that helpful”. That was your closing remarks. I just laughed. That was amazing video. I’ve bought this Keykoard. Hoping to get that worship sounds I hear on albums but I can’t. Thanks. And to answer your question; yes it was definitely live saver. Sometimes I hear people play piano then strings will follow some seconds. I can’t figure it out.
John Asare Have fun with the RD - it’s so powerful when you dig in to it... but unlike other keyboards there are very few resources showing you what it’s capable of... good luck, and thanks for watching!
I have a new Roland RD2000. The one thing I can't find is the great sound of a Church Organ. I think I almost got it at the 7:39 time on t his video; but got lost. Do I have to program all these buttons just to get the hammond organ sound? It's confusing to me... Thanks in Advance.
Ws. As you know, on a real Hammond you get two manuals. I have been wondering about setting up the 2000 to emulate this. Perhaps a split keyboard with two hammond sounds, one for lower and one for upper? Yor thouhts? Care to give this a try?
You can certainly do many split points, and there are a nice selection of Hammond sounds in the expansion pack. But ultimately this is probably the best piano action keyboard you are likely to find on a stage piano... surely you would be looking for waterfall keys if organ is your main instrument?
Very helpful, Alan, especially on using the Mod wheel in that way; I like to bring pads and e-pianos up in the choruses of some worship songs, but hitting the buttons is pretty abrupt; this is wonderful - thanks!
Please do another setup for worship. Like the ones we here on William mcdowels and the like albums. Something for an atmosphere. And talk music. Much Respect from the LONDON
John Asare Hey John - if you have a Mac then get Mainstage (£29) and the Sunday Sounds template. Has more shimmer and worship sounds than you can imagine. Mainstage and RD2000 play very nicely with each other - one USB cable is all you need for audio and midi - and you can map all of the knobs to mainstage controls. You won’t look back!!
ws1wd17 I’ve been eyeing mainstage, but I’ve not been able to afford Mac. But since you’ve confirmed this pair I will definitely invest my last dime. Thanks again. Very much appreciated
@@nanayawasare1 You can run Mainstage on older Mac hardware, even an older iMac if you don't want to spring for a laptop. Alternatively Abelton Live will work on Windows platforms but I don't have experience with this program. I came here looking for the kinds of pads the RD 2000 have that can work in contemporary worship but the Mod wheel setup is something else I'm looking at getting into. Thanks much!
Hi. I’m not a spiritual person, but I appreciate your beautiful playing and helpful tutorial. My best to you.
I love my RD 2000 thanks for showing me a different way to use it. I love all the different ways to layer sounds.

@@ws1wd17 Yes I'm part of the RD2000 fb group. I'm the one that keeps asking all the stupid questions.😂🤣
PG Tips apparently there’s no such thing as a stupid question....... 😀👍
Thanks so much for these videos ... they are the best thing I've found to help me understand my RD-2000.
Keep doing those video it's helpful and giving me great idea :D

Can you add a volume foot controller for the organ ?
Nice stuff - I am about to buy this keyboard and will go straight to this tweak.
Have fun! It's a straightforward enjoyable keyboard to play for hours!

@@ws1wd17 I play both, you can get by with Paino keys in some styles
Excellent 👍
