Okay...that was seriously one of the nicest hostels I have ever seen. I stayed in a couple years and years ago in Spain and Italy and boy let me tell you, they did not look like this. This is not the typical bunk beds in a room lol.

flat whites are made with whole milk and ristretto shots which are sweeter then regular espresso and lattes are with 2% milk and regular espresso! Flat whites also get an extra shot in them! haha I work at starbucks 😊

I'm thrilled that you'd gotten a chance to visit Taiwan. I was born and raised in Taipei and live in Seattle. I'm very pleased to see this video because you described it best- It is underrated. It is clean and safe and beautiful. Inexpensive. The food and people are what make this island a gem. It's nicknamed Formosa for a reason! I hope you get to do some makeup shopping next time you're there because that's where I get my beauty haul a couple times a year. You don't need to speak the local language to tour Taiwan. English is pretty much written everywhere and people can handle simple English conversation. Even if they don't. They will do everything they can to help you. That's the spirit of island of Taiwan. -Ariel

The difference in the flat white is the type of espresso shots in the beverage and the way the milk is steamed! They're so delicious!
The difference between a regular latte and a flat white is a flat white is made with whole milk rather than 2% and ristretto shots (which the machine pulls shorter shots that taste lighter and more caramelized than regular esspresso shots). The most important part of the flat white is how the milk is steamed and poured. The barista wants to steam the milk so that "micro bubbles" form on top making the milk smooth in consistency then as they go to pour the milk they make sure that the width of the milk stream is equivalent to the width of a pencil and as the milk rises they bring the pitcher and stream closer forming a white dot on top preferably in the middle. so you can think of a flat white being that kind of hug you need after a really shitty week from your mom or dad and a latte being like a good conversation. one is made with more care and detail while the other is simple uncomplicated and easy going.

Former barista, a Flat White is made with whole milk and Ristretto shots, which you can always get those style of shots in a latte, they taste better!
I love your vlogs so much! And to answer your question about the difference between a latte, cappuccino, and a flat white (by Starbucks standards). A flat white is made with ristretto shots (less water is pushed through the espresso to, in a sense, condense the flavor) and steamed whole milk. A latte is regular espresso shots and steamed 2% milk with light foam, and a cappuccino is regular espresso shots with steamed 2% milk and heavy foam! I hope that helped! I love your channel and I can't wait to see all your future adventures!

The food looked amazing! 🤤 Breathtaking views! You guys are so beautiful & cute!
Lattes and cappuccinos are made with 2% and for a tall gets 1 shot of espresso, and the only difference between a latte and a cappuccino is a cappuccino is more foam than milk and a latte vise versa. A flat white is made with whole milk which makes it creamier and gets and extra shot of espresso. The shots are also pulled ristretto, which makes them taste smoother.

Hayley Keaton Yes, it's absolutely a thing! Lol. I'm pretty sure the longer you watch an ad, it pays the creator more. Like let's say an ad was 1 min long, giving you the option to skip at the 10 second mark or something, if you watch it 'til the 30 second mark or 40 second mark or whatever and THEN click skip ad, it pays more. Basically, the longer you watch an ad, the more it pays!

Little note: Sun Yat-sen did not flee Mainland China, it was his successor Chiang Kai-shek that fled China. Both of them have memorials in Taipei, which are both very unique buildings :)
