At the slightest sniff of a motocross track- that is HILARIOUS 1:40 Long time subscriber but this one has put it ove the top, Btw loved the 75 Husq CR360 because it is close to home among many others. Keep em' coming.
musiclovr2 Only acting on information given by the owner on the day I filmed the video and he was adamant it was an 1982 bike. . . although maybe he didn’t actually know what year of bike he had.
The Kx420-A1 (white seat graphics, steel footpegs and a few other differences) was Kawasaki's 1980 open class motocrosser. This one is an example of their 1981 (NOT 1982!) KX420-A2. The owner needs to do his research! It may have been sold in 1982 as a current model, but it was a year old by then.😉
Rode one of these as a 13 year old. It was an older friend of mine. It was a beast. The suspension was horrendously harsh. They were cheap at the time.

I had an 83 kx 500 do you know if the 83 was just a bored out 420 or was it a totally different engine all together
Totally different
It’s a recreational dirt bike just a fast one. It’s like the RT180 It’s just a bit bigger.
i bought it new ,broke kick start first day ,couldnt sell it fast enough
The ‘83 is 250 and 500 were the best in those days.
Nevertheless a beautiful vintage bike. Quite a gap in time between the kx400 and kx420
Can I have them. Would love to own and run it.
Remember the 450 but dont remember the 420?
Allot were sold in my area mostly because of a strong dealer. My Yamaha would just blow it away.
Uni track NG then.
