Thanks for your prayers. Knee is coming along just fine. Still can't pivot or put too much weight on it. I'll be back soon. Stopped and talked to Vonnie and Martin this afternoon. Both are doing good. Mart is busy planning more trips.
As I was preparing to take the daily chemo(day54)this morning, I saw the notification of your new upload. Seeing that brought a smile to my face. God bless to you and Vonnie.👍🛶🇺🇸
Thank you very much. My fight against the tumor(oligodendrglioma) in my head has been going on since I came out of a coma back in 2010. Back then I was given five years and told I would probably never get out of a wheelchair-due to a ministroke during the first craniotomy.
03/21/24 marked 14 years since I woke from a chemically induced coma. Originally, I was given five years max and told I would probably never get out of a wheelchair. It’s been tough, to say the least. With God’s grace and a pretty high pain tolerance on my part, I’m still pushing every day. 🤙
Nice visit. Fun to watch the grouse. Our beloved cat died about a month ago and since I feed and watch the birds more on the weekends. Our equivalent to your pets at the cabin. Have a good week Martin.
What a nice surprise...an extra cabin trip! Here I was thinking "maybe he'll take a trip up there just before or right after Easter, otherwise it won't be until June before there's any more videos." Hope Jim has gotten his knee fixed and is recovering well. Take care and be safe...
I really love all your videos. I live in Wisconsin and keep on, considering how I can get property up in the U.P. It would be great just to live out of nature every day.
That's one crazy timeline you've got going, last vid. you were leaving. If you keep that up, you may need a DeLorean. Well, at any rate good to see you back.
Mmm that walleye breakfast looked good It,s getting exciting that your getting closer to the cabin build. so nice to see and hear your bird friends and no doubt the grey Jays look forward to your return. Looks like it's going to be a nice sunny day at the cabin. enjoy it Martin going to be sunny here as well stay safe.
This is my first comment on your video, glad to see you getting out, just one word of advice if the snow is stained yellow don’t use it for anything!!!!!
both my knees were hurting me for 3 years i could not squat and get up. i stopped eating sugar and carbs and in 3 weeks i was inflammation free. i have kept off carbs now for 2 years and am 67 on no meds or supplements BP102/66. i hardly believe what health i am still gaining.

Very pleasant surprise to get more winter cabin videos.
Thank you Marty!
This will be the last trip until I get back up in May.
thanks, Martin for looking after our Canada Jays and yes they know when its lunchtime
My cabin pals when no one else can make the trip.

So hard to lose a pet. My wife said "No More" but we have befriended one that was living in our area for a few years. Now it likes to cuddle with her.

Jim stopped by yesterday and he is doing fine.
I have to remember to eat after watching your videos.
I usually wind up being hungry seeing walleye in a pan when Don gives gifts.
Sizzle Sizzle
Let Jim know we look forward to him being back in action!
I'll be back soon. Sure, do miss that place.
Best wishes to Jim. That Walleye looked delicious! Great to see your local flocks! Take care. So much to look forward to. Thanks for sharing.👍😎🇨🇦

Nice pun on the pieces.

I am too, so much prep work is going to make it easier.
From one camp to another there's something about taking care of things where you want to be. Cheers.
Well said!
Welcome back to your cabin don't work to hard and have fun
Thank you, I will
Awesome, as always, dont work to hard, enjoy your time

Knee is coming along just fine. Looking forward to getting back to the cabin.
This is starting to turn out to be a great beginning for the "Building of the Guest Cabin"! Martin, have a great week! 😉👍😊
We are on the way now.
That male Spruce Grouse is a proud bird. Wonder if the ladies saw him stumble...
He recovered well and hoped she did not see that.
You have certainly had a nice winter for cabin trips. Don't remember seeing ice in the mustache once!
Come to think of it, you are right.
Hvala na dobrom videu👍🍀🌞

Glad your doing it !

indeed it does

Fully understood, I find that the Pine Siskins like the yellow snow, must be the salt.
I just witnessed the Gerald Ford of spruce grouse. Lol.
I was thinking the current POTUS, but the grouse only fell once...
@@KG-xt4oq lol.
Funny what the camera can catch in the wild world of animals and birds.
Love your videos. So very relaxing. God Bless.
Then my plan is working, thanks.
As always thank you !!
How is Vonnie doing ?
Be safe God bless .
Her thumb is a little crooked but all things healed up.
Another great video. Thanks.
My pleasure!
Thanks for letting tag along
You are so welcome
There, all caught up. Watched 4 episodes this morning.
Thanks, now you can give your eyes a much needed rest.
@@TheNorthwoodsman1 Only caught up on the last 4 new ones. I still have #186-#231 to go
PROGRESS!!!!!! Do take care. Fl.
Might see a few logs in position on the next trip.
Thank You Martin, Shout Out To Walleye Don !
You are welcome.
Always have wondered how you cut the edges. In the video I think you said edge mill! Could you show that sometime? Prayers for officer Jim.
Thanks for your prayers. Knee is coming back just fine.
ruclips.net/video/ZIm2rSSqtNs/видео.html At 3:45 of this video you will see the edging mill in action.
Love to melt snow for coffee i do that here in kentucky but we dont get much snow anymore
Sure makes a handy source of water for me.
If there is a gmrs repeater in your area at the cabin, I believe there is one in your home area and your wife could chat via radio.
Not sure about what is up there.
How big is your new cabin going to be?
My logs are 18.5 and 16.5 so we will see what that turns into after notching them.
Thank you!!
Always a pleasure.
Thanks

Hello we all want to know when will the new cabin build begin?
Walls go up Sept. 30, 2024 at 9:00am sharp. How's that for a time.
@@TheNorthwoodsman1 Are you showing the actual framing and all the good stuff? Before the walls go with excited anticipation!
i a sitting here watching an old vid and i am wondering where u are at , no new idios?
I just returned from 3 weeks at the cabin, fresh videos coming Sat.
Why do you have the wood stove working to heat up the place, with the front door open!
It looks to be very Cold out side?.
Sometimes when I get there it is colder inside than out so until the stove really get going it is best to leave the door open.
Shabbat Shalom!
yes
need couple pairs long heavy layers to soon to early i know but should been done last fall or early may still going get bad weather no not right yet still to early
So mild so long and now cool is lingering.
If you’ve said, I have forgotten, why don’t you take the dog out to the car to get supplies?
It is a protected area of the highest order and no motorized machines allowed.
@@TheNorthwoodsman1 well then, that’s about the perfect reason.
🙋👍
Looks like a government job to me - long overdue and twice the planned budget.
