We bought a 2024 Cross L in September. It is fantastic. Comfortable, easy to drive, plenty of space, tons of great features in this base model, We love it!
I got a 2005 Toyota sequoia with 194,000 miles and still running strong . I got it brand new with 5 miles . I have been the only owner . I love my Toyota
I have a 2008 Toyota Yaris bought from a dealer in 2009 as a previous rental for cash. 15 years later and 289,000KMS it's still purring like a kitten. I had to replace air conditioner in 2022, and since it's been outside for 15 years in Canada this year the paint clear coat is giving out and also the weather stripping wore out. Over 15 years other than the air conditioning has been just regular maintenance. I almost don't want to get a new Toyota just yet, will miss my Yaris with it's CD player and has been through many life events with me. Has saved me thousands, enough where I can buy a Cross to replace it.
I actually like this CUV it's basically a corolla wagon on stilts. The price point on this makes it very appealing, of course mixed with build quality and longevity, it's a great option.
Fantastic review! I'm going to my Ontario dealership to test drive and buy this Corolla Cross. Could I use Car Cost Canada for a discount on the sticker price? If so, what do I do and do I need a coupon code? Thank you! Happy Canada Day 🇨🇦
If you're looking at a new car you may not get much of a deal off the MSRP, as Toyota specifically has had a backlog of customers waiting for vehicles to arrive. The Corolla Cross may be different, if they have vehicles sitting on the lots then you may be able to negotiate a bit of a deal. Ultimately it all comes down to the salesperson, manager, and the market conditions. Good luck!
I have this model but there's no "turn off" head lights button....I don't like the lights always on during daytime when there's no direct bright sunshine but bright normal daylight...Is it anyway to turn the headlights off manually?
There likely isn't a way, the Daytime Running Lights are proven to help prevent vehicle accidents as oncoming traffic knows the vehicle is running rather than parked/off. Lower-trim vehicles end up using their highbeams on a low setting as a makeshift DRL to avoid costly components while remaining legal, but there's no real way to defeat them.
I am considering buying this car. It's either this or an HRV Honda. To ask you though, is the Cross easy to get out of on the driver side? I have always preferred cars that you can swing into rather then ones that are lower where you have to stoop to get in. Like the regular Corolla car. I don't like the height like that. I guess I prefer raised cars if you want to put it that way. Is the Cross higher off the ground? I do like the analog dials 100% on that. I like the white radio touch screen part as well.
This does sit higher off the ground than the Corolla, 5.3" versus 8". Whether it's easier to slide into will come down to you though, we recommend finding one to test drive to see how it works out for you!
I believe it's in AWD all the time, and the vehicle will automatically engage the rear wheels when needed, like starting from a stop and in slippery conditions.
Tip for all of you reviewers sitting in the back behind driver side. Why doesn't anyone ever sit on the passenger side and move the front seat forward for more room. That person doesn't need that much space in the front. It's unusual for the seat to be pushed all the way back, even when I'm not the driver. I am waiting for my hybrid order to come in this year.
@@PRNTestDriveMy point was the front passenger seat is more flexible that they don't need to match drivers profile. That person could be shorter even. A tall person there can tilt seat more but can still give the rear passenger more room vs behind driver's seat.
I don’t mind it. It’s subdued and minimalist while still having good body lines to break up the CUV/SUV silhouette. It’s better than the RAV4’s styling imo. I don’t need a menacing looking vehicle to go grocery shopping. But of course, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
It might not be for everyone, I think they really tried to play into the Corolla's styling as an SUV and it might not have translated perfectly. Either way we'll see if it proves to be a popular seller for Toyota based on the nameplate, or if they should have mixed it up a bit and introduced something completely new for buyers.

Glad to hear it! Sounds like it's pretty low mileage given the year.
I'll be getting mine at the end of June!
Congrats!
I got mine and I’m 18 😙 I’m so happy with it. There’s enough space like I wanted

There’s no brand that is perfect but you can’t go wrong with a Toyota!
Definitely true about no one brand being perfect. These are starting to pop up quite a bit, definitely a popular option.
Thank you for the in-depth review. I just ordered the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross LE Premium (in Ontario) Can't wait to get it 👍
Hope it arrives soon for you, enjoy it!
@@PRNTestDrive I'm getting mine in August. They're building it in Alabama 👍

Agreed! I couldn't say if I see a lot on the road or not, they just blend in, but that's precisely what you want from a vehicle like this.
Just bought one... I cant wait to get it
Glad to hear it, hope it works out well for you. Congrats!
Good review !
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
Hi .
I currently have a Honda civic 2024 sport .
But I want to trade it in for a SUV .
You think this Corolla cross would be a good option ?
Thanks
Could be a good option, yes! It's going to feel similar in size while giving you more usable cargo space.
Good video ~ helpful ~ thanks
Glad it was helpful!
No underhood insulation? Is that part of the Cost Saving technique?
Must be!
Is the CVT reliable over 100k miles?
Toyota typically has had good success with transmission reliability.
Does the LE has reverse camera?
@@14IEA all new cars in Canada since at least 2018 are required by law to have a backup camera, so if you live here then the answer is yes.

Does it have reverse camera?cruise control?
Backup cameras have been mandatory equipment in Canada for many years now, so yes. This specific trim has adaptive cruise control.
Thanks for the video. How’s the engine and acceleration?
Decent enough for the segment.
Can't wait for ours wich is coming in the start of October😍😍😍
Hope it arrives on time!
@@PRNTestDrive I really hope so too, patience isn't my thing😂.

Just a couple short months!
How do you put it in all wheel drive?
I believe it's in AWD all the time, and the vehicle will automatically engage the rear wheels when needed, like starting from a stop and in slippery conditions.
this is awesome. push start button + heated steering wheel which you cant get on base trim Rav4
Good to know!

That's exactly why many of us sit behind our own driving profiles, because if we fit there, then we'll absolutely fit on the passenger side.

Good family car
Seems like it!
Why is screen flashing
That’s a side effect of the LCD screen’s refresh rate not being in sync with our camera shutter speed. It does not like this in person.
can y tell me cross le have auto matic head light
Automatic headlights are a legal requirement in Canada, so yes they’d have them here. I can’t speak for other markets.
wow.. Malaysia only get FWD version.
Interesting! Is there a big market for small, AWD vehicles like this over there?
Motor roars and the trans shifts constantly in the hills and low mtn ranges....otherwise, its a pretty decent car :)
Good to know!
Love all Toyotas but I just do not like the look of this Toyota Corolla Cross exterior

Dude, wait still 15 years to ask about reliability. It was even more before.

Pretty affordable given how expensive everything has gotten.
