oh, yeah! We couldn't ride the top of the mountain, as there was too much snow. Now I see what we missed and know, we have to come back :D Thx 4 sharing 🤙
The top of the mountain is personally my favorite, hällrajd is fast and technicall, with a lot of rock faces, svartberget is like that aswell although no rockrolls and some small/medium size drops(around 1m) ”1000metarn” is very tight and quite technical, but is satisfying to ride cleanly and a great way to practice cornering, easy rider is just an overall great track with flow, rock, and beatiful scenery, aswell as options to ride combinations of it and the previously mentioned tracks. Really recommend visiting åre just for the upperportion of the mountain
Such an awesome video. I'm not a bike guy, but having skied down this mountain several times, it would be awesome to try going down with a bike in the summer. :)
Im sorry but this might sound like a dumb question. But are you not constantly worried about getting a flat tire when your are riding fast on sharp rocks? I would be scared lol
Ah shame you missed the last part of the first rocky track. Right were Oscar jumps into the berm is the hardest part. There is one major compression right after a crest that has some nasty rocks in it then you come to some really steep rock steps!

Let me tell you guys a story. This Sunday I went to Åre to go downhill mountain biking for the first time in my life at the age of 31. My friend who grew up around this stuff took me to the top of the mountain and we went down this track. I fell 6 rough times before I made it to the very bottom of the mountain. I’m lucky to not be more injured but really surprised my friend thought I could handle this track on my first time on a mountain bike in my whole life. At the bottom i watched an ambulance helicopter fly away with someone else who must have been injured. I’m just bruised up with sliced up hand and hurt wrists and a pulled calf muscle and a soar neck.
Thank for watching! I loved this track. What should I film next? @remymetailler
Hafjell? ^^
awesome vid i was also at are bike festival and made a video about riding there. :)
Some tutorials?
It’s impressive how quiet your bike is, only thing you can hear are the tires and freehub 👌 no brake squeal, chain slap or suspension noise.
Daniel Korn thanks. I'll do a tip video about it!
Rémy Métailler That would help a lot! Amazing video// the Guy in the end doing a wheelie🤣
Fredrik Fredriksson ahaha nice one
He takes care of his bike. 😉
Dude wtf that track!!! Amaziing!!! I have to visit
Sick looking place man. Reminds me of the alpine riding in we have in New England🙏

@@minervgiko allright, allright! I'm coming back! 😅
Love this video! I would like to see you revisit Åre or do a tour in Sweden and Norway.
Maybe one day!
I just started watching and I can’t stop
Ikon plenty more to come. Every best trail in the world
Home soil! If you're still here in sweden I hope you get the chance to ride Järvsö Bikepark!
Wet sketchy rocks. Great video
Hi Remy, how about traction on offcamber on rocks? Were they slippery?
mihauok1 very slippery. You have to manage your speed before a off camber rock.
@@remymetailler I second that.
J'aime vraiment ton style de ride qui est assez similaire à celui de bernard kerr je m'inspire vraiment de vous deux pour les whips
Merci!

Will you visit some other bike park in Sweden (like Järvsö or Vallåsen) or will you stay in Åre?
Arion Hylander I have left already unfortunately. Next year maybe!
@@remymetailler ok =)
What tires & PSI are you running for that track? it's sick how can you hold the line in tose conditions
alonso diaz de leon 22 and 24psi. My tires are really strong though.
Seeeeeeend iiiiiit!! 🤙
2:54 that was smooth
swedish trails are so raw it's closer to just riding down the side of a mountain
The rocky trails in Åre are amazing, would love to go back there once again too!

Hey man, great content on your channel! What Hutchinson tyres are you running?
DorsetDanMTB Hutchinson Griffus 2.5 Racing Lab
Bikechanic the grip was ok on the dirt. A bit slippery though but the tires behave super well. Would recommend them for sure.
Oh man you so sick for following him without knowing the line. It was really scary
Super sick but it looks pretty cold!
unreal terrain Rem, thanks for sharing. Is this place on trailforks, I'd love to check it out. Can't seem to find it...
It’s in Jämtland, Sweden. About 1,5 hour car ride from Östersund Airport
