Joe Petrali was my uncle. Thank you for making this video and your kind words about him.
How did Uncle Joe ride so good, what with that giant set of balls he carried around?
@@steverice7546 lol Fr 😂
@@steverice7546high in the saddle, mate.
That amazing piece of history could not have found a better home!
Every video I watch from you guys makes me want to come to the museum even more....
I’m so glad there’s still a place to see these bikes in real life and hear the stories from someone’s mouth not a book.
I really miss your dad but, you've taken the baton very nicely & I think your knowledge of bikes & the museum is phenomenal, thank you!
Proud of you for carrying on your father's legacy. Keep up the good work. Would like to think your interest in history help fuel your father's push. I hope you have the same blessing from the next generation.
Great history lesson about a really cool bike and a bad ass rider. That riding position is pretty extreme.
Another incredible history lesson. Your passion is infectious. Great job Matt.
Matt .. after hearing Your teachings about this amazing Racer and His Machine …. One could deem Him as “ the Babe Ruth “ of Bike racing ! 🤘🏼 as always You and Your crew have shined the light on the past so that a wanna be like me can know more about the vintage iron 👊🏼
Fricken Amazing thanks for continuing your dad's passion and mission. You represent wheels thru time perfectly!
Amazing bike.. I’d love to have something like this
Fantastic job of this history on Joe and this motorcycle. Great job.☮️
Thanks for watching!
So glad you got this amazing piece of history Matt. It is gorgeous with a great story!!!!!
Never been so struck by a motorcycle. Simply stunning. Thank you Matt
I believe that's Willie G. (left) at 23:19 with his father William H. Davidson. If that's 1974, then the photo shows G.'s gradual transition from his previous clean shaven straight persona to full beard mode of a year or so later. Probably didn't want to freak his dad out too quickly, lol. Those were exciting times.
“ I’m not speechless often “ been talking about this bike for 27 minutes!😂😂😂
Love your knowledge and love to hear about these old bikes .
Wow. I had no idea your dad had passed. I’m very sorry. He was an amazing guy and I can’t thank him enough for putting these bikes together for the world to see. Thank you as well for continuing his great legacy and bringing more of it to RUclips to share with those of us that can’t make it to NC. May he Rest In Peace!
Love what your doing , so glad you have followed your Dad's foot steps GOD BLESS
I love this bike, really wish HD never stopped making singles, Buell Blast and Aermacchi bikes aside as a 500cc single can be a lot of fun especially with it’s naturally smaller wheelbase compared to a V-Twin. TY for this fantastic video and looking forward to the follow-up video on it. Wishing you many years of safe and fun riding 👍🏻
Amazing bike. Love all your videos. You are extremely intelligent. Love all the information you have to share.
Brilliant explanation. This guy's enthusiasm makes my day
Amazing bike, so impressed with the engineering that went into this machine. Thanks for all you do, Matt, looking forward to my next trip to Wheels Through Time Museum!
Matt, thanks for the story on the bike. And also thank you for the informati1 on on Joe. That bike is incredible. You do a great job explaining the bikes and parts.
Great acquisition Matt. I'm sure your dad is smiling down on this one. Absolutely beautiful bike with an incredible history. I know some people like the rusty crusty bikes but I like the pretty ones. Your depth of knowledge is amazing. It's almost like you grew up with this stuff 😉
Wut happened to the dad?
@@josieunderpants3602 he passed a few months ago 😢
@@josieunderpants3602 first of all. It's spelled what. And it's clear to see he passed away. Matt's dad was a great man
Pushed the wrong button AGAIN,
In other words you're a great
Teacher, keep on bike'n!!!!!
THANK'S from NOR-CAL!!!!!!!
Dale is smiling from heaven ✝️✨❤😌
That’s why they called him The Dominator.
Matt’s enthusiasm , knowledge and passion is awesome! I never tire of watching him and I learn something everytime. Best wishes from Norfolk England.
“ I’m absolutely speechless “
I don’t think so.
Great video.
WOW, just wow. Thank you.
Truly a BADASS machine.
Thank you Matt Walksler for making these videos. The finer details of thick-walled (and webbed) racing cases.
Always appreciate the notes on what oil line goes where.
Can’t wait to see the technical specs; bore, stroke, and CR. You’re one of the luckiest ducks to play with these pieces of OLD AMERICAN IRON!!
Rev it up and since it’s too risky to race it, run it up on a dyno, see how good ol Joe Petrali’s engineering was...
Congrats to have it at the museum Matt , it doesn't get better than that for historic racers , all class from end to end
Mind..... BLOWN !!!! Absolutely beautiful machine.
Beautiful bike, with great lines / proportions. 100 years later and IMO, one of the most appealing HD’s ever built.
it's time to get all of these old bikes back on the market.
One day I will go to the museum amazing place of freedom thanks for showing us all of the best
I’m sorry for your loss wtt community. Dale truly was a genius and we got to witness an angel on earth. I’m not a man that easily displays my softer side though I come to you to raise a silent toast to celebrate Dale for all that he gave us. Let’s not fail to recognize that Dales best gift to us is his Son!!! Thank you Dale for everything, God speed.
Your well-spoken, clear commentaries are terrific, Matt!
Your knowledge blows my mind
So cool sent this video to a friend of mine. He was New England champion for a few years road racing. Honoured to know him .He was close to racing of Island of man. Love listing to his story's of Daytona.
it was a pleasure to meet you and the staff last year Matt
What a beautiful bike! So well preserved! As always, great history and technical run down. Man those wood tracks are insane. I'm a carpenter and its crazy to think of the pile of 2 x 4s it took to build that! Wow. Thank you for another great video!
Absolutely amazing.... What a beauty!!!....and the history!!!.....what a perfect addition to the museum!!!.....would love to hear it run!!
I love it. Can you imagine going 100 mph average for 100 miles with no brakes or clutch, maybe when I was younger
Beautiful looking bike.
Matt, your knowledge and passion for these bikes is amazing. I’m blown away by the collection and can’t wait to see this place in person.
Just there yesterday. Gorgeous bike and an amazing museum. Had a wonderful conversation with Matt.
One of my all time favorites
A fascinating piece of bike history, very well told. Subscribed.
Cheers from a former Whizzer and Marusho owner in Vienna, Scott
Great addition to a great museum. I am ready for another visit.
I absolutely love your enthusiasm. Awesome bike.
Amazing History!! It’s found the best home ever!
Darn Amazing... Thanks for Sharing... I Love Your Passion.
Petrali was THE MAN!
Very nice.
Beautiful ! ! ! ! Wow!!!!!!!
Love your channel. I’m in New Jersey but Am going to plan a vacation to visit your museum in the next few years
Great video. Historic knowledge and the delivery is so fun to view. Thanks a lot.
Dude ! Beautiful piece ! Love all the history that's connected to it. Not only a beautiful piece of rolling art , but an animal ready to rock. Not only that , but it shows me what kind of bad mo you had to be to mount this beast. My bike is pretty bare bones , but in comparison she is a cream puff. Goes to show you how tuff these guys were. Got up my game !
Absolutely love this !!! Such a great piece of history. Thank you for sharing this with us!! I will find my way to WTT hopefully soon!!!
Wow that’s beautiful
Glad you have it.
What an amazing find! Thanks!
Wow, bike is awesome, Petrali is the man, thanks for the history lesson
Looks like it’s going 100mph sitting still ! Just Beautiful !
Thanks for all the great info Matt!
Thanks for explaining the meathook, drop bars and riding style of the day I couldn't wrap my brain around around the setup at first. Thanks for schooling me.
In my eyes, as a former speedway rider, that bike is a beauty. Looking at Harveys today and wondering where it went wrong.
Now that’s a beautiful machine!
That's a badass bike for sure
Blown away not a late Harley but that's blown away. Got to hear this babe run. My old man raced JAP 500 on alcohol thy look the same engine. Love your show Tommi from the isle of man
Beauty! It’s in the correct museum!
Wow just absolutely stunning 🤩
Totally cool mate . Loved it cheers mate from Australia
@23:25……an amazing pic from the Harley museum, showing the restored race bike being admired by Johnny Hopkins, Sloan Kettering and Yogi Berra.
What a really good video! Very informative ! I had no idea about Harley or joe's history. Thanks for being so detail orientated 👍🇺🇸👍
Great bike great history. Congratulations
Beautiful
I've just started watching your channel, getting hooked up by the Bikes and Beards guys. I absolutely love your stuff! Amazing knowledge, and great storytelling, camerawork, and editing! Great job, y'all! This is SUCH a bitchin' bike. The lines, the colours (especially the white rims!)...So beautiful. It actually makes my heart ache a bit.
Thanks, guys!✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
Absolutely beautiful
Great Museum addition! But from the CAC top and SA bottom and hearing that the bike was "restored" around 1974, I wonder if this job is something of a nicely done parts bike? I ask because some of the early Harley-Davidson collection bikes are notorious for being pieced together with various year parts. This has led to controversy among collectors and restorers because many presume that everything Harley-Davidson has or touches must be 100% original and/or correct. I hope Matt keeps an open mind about this bike when they dig deeper into it and then tells us what he finds.
Beautiful bike
Matt, that bike is absolutely stunning! Even by today’s standards!
thats mad....what a machine.....wow
Gorgeous
That bike is absolutely amazing and a beautiful piece of machinery. I'll have to send some of the non harley riders to see the history that is .
Thanks!
Let's hear it!
Beautiful bike. Well done indeed.
Beautiful bike!!!
Great job. Thanks
Can you imagine riding a bike like that around a dirt track going flat out bumping handlebars riding 100 miles an hour on a horse track that must have been cool Beyond cool
beautiful bike .
I love this channel and Matt is the man..
What a great bike!
Those old bikes are so cool.
What a beautiful machine
WOW, I love that bike.
Such a pretty bike.
They only make 3 or 4 of this motorcycle very unique second to none 👍
What a beauty!
