  • Recently replaced the starter clutch with a new upgraded kit and also synchronised the carbies, after being off the road for a few weeks while waiting for the parts to arrive from the USA :)

    😂I just did the same thing on my 99. Starter clutch and carb sync.

    On my 85 the access to the idle screw is blocked. Were you just adjusting the throttle linkage?

      This is a 1990 model, and there is nothing blocking access to the idle screw. That's strange that yours is blocked I've never heard about that before mate

      The idle screw on the Vmax is usually a larger dial-screw located on the left hand side in between and below the carbs area

      @@IntegratedAcademy sorry, I meant the idle mixture screw on each carb. The factory set them then block the hole. It's beneath the vacuum chamber cap.
