- This is a song really about a bunch of different topics. It could be how you feel after a loved one dies or when you break up with someone you love. Or in love as friendship terms, how you can't seem to stop being friends with someone. Again don't post any rude comments, nobody cares if you don't like Sugarland, all rude comments will be removed.
The love of my life passed away almost 10 years ago and to this day I still lay with the jean t-shirt she always wore. Her smell faded away after about a week, but its a form of comfort for me. I moved on, fell in love with another woman and we shared 9 years together, but I just couldn't seem to fool this fool. I was trying to fill the void that was left deep inside my heart and soul the day Hillary died. I miss her every single second of every single day. My heart's truly broken and thats sad.

There was a time this song would have made me miss a certain person but today I'm thanking God my prayer went unanswered! I was spent the last 7 years of my life in the arms of someone I thought I would eventually die in many years down the road. She was not only my lover she was my best friend. I woke up everyday with a smile upon my face because I woke up looking at her. It was LOVE, it was REAL and it is now OVER. It just amazes me that after 7 years I am just suppose to go on without her. You dont really ever get over someone, you just get used to living with them. Though I tell everyone I'm not in love...I am!

I agree. BUT sometimes I prefer when songs like this don't get released. All the radio does is overplay songs and makes everyone sick of them anyways.

i love this song sooooo much. Sugarland is simply the best.
this song expresses exactly how i feel. i had a three year relationship end not so long ago. it just wasn't our time...and no matter how hard we tried we just couldn't get it to work. But every day I think about him. i did try to move on with someone new and he could see my heart was in agony. so i'm back to being by myself sorting through the pain. one day i know i will be healed, but right now i just wish i didn't love him anymore.

And I'm wishing I didnt. Because knowing someone else is loving her breaks me to my inner core. I am only 32 years old and 7 years is a long time. I know it will take time to get over her. And God knows I am trying, but its gets really hard at times. Especially at those times its got to be her. I havent seen or talked to her in 6 months and it seem like its been forever. LOVE is a wonderful thing, but trying to forget that you once were in it is a horrible thing. And it drags on and on and on.
