  • Hello All,
Here is a nice, 1/4 ounce gold nugget a partner and I recovered from an old ancient river channel. The hardpack caliche gravel covered the bedrock and the nugget was wedged in a bedrock crack/crevice.
We recovered the gold nugget using the Minelab GPZ 7000 metal detector and Garrett Pro Pinpointer.

Tale some advice from a person who has found hundreds of ounces of gold.
Always keep the dirt around the nugget and sluice the dirt later.
You will have more ounces of gold at the end of the year.

Thanks for the comment Andy. Na, we just happen to hit a good spot earlier this season, just getting around to posting some footage. I have a bunch more, just have to upload it. Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving.

Ithink a set of picks from an auto parts store would be very helpful in extracting pieces like that

Hey Dan, Ya you're probably right. However, I'm not sure they would be strong enough, this material is like concrete.

@@Nuggethunting being a mechanic myself, there are mant different qualities of these to buy... .Go try out some cheapos from harbor freight if you have one nearby you and test them out.

@@dskofich - Hey Dan, I agree, many qualities of metal. I do have a Harbor Freight down the road, so maybe you will see them in a future video. Thanks for the advice.
