    Rolling Stock: Alstom = PL42AC Locomotive #4031, Comet V Coaches and Cab Cars. EMD = NJT GP40PH-2B Locomotive #4217, NJT GP40PH-2 Locomotives #4100 and #4101 "NJDOT", MNCR F40PH-3C Locomotives #4908 and #4909, MNCR GP40FH-2 Locomotives #4900 and #4903. Bombardier = ALP-45DP Locomotives #4520 and #4528, ALP-45A Locomotive #4537, and Multilevel Coaches and Cab Cars.
Due to the HX Draw being stuck in the open position for about 10-15 minutes, I was held up for a bit just west of Secaucus Junction and ended up reaching Ramsey-Main Street about 15 minutes later. As a result, Train #55 was directly behind Train #1165 (the train I arrived on). Normally, Train #1165 has Metro-North equipment, but the original set's locomotive, F40PH-3C #4912 broke down, so it ended up taking Train #1221's set to finish the scheduled rotation.
Alright, y'all! Today is the day that I decided to take a trip to Ramsey-Main Street after a while of seeing my fellow railfans take a crack at it!
It is always a treat to watch the EMD locomotives with the built-in strobe lights in action as they lead the train, especially since strobe lights are not present on newer locomotives.
I know it has been over a year at this point since GP40FH-2 #4900 had its horn replaced by a Raised Letter K5LA, but it still feels kinda odd not hearing the old K5LA anymore, ngl. It was also nice hearing Comet V Cab Car #6002 in action, ever since it had its Roundtag K5LA unchoked recently.
This was also the first time I managed to film NJT GP40PH-2 #4101 after it got repainted. Funny thing is that I was unsuccessful in capturing it when it had the SU3L still mounted on it, but the moment it gets a poor-sounding Raised Letter K5LA, it doesn't elude my grasp. I also managed to capture GP40PH-2 #4100 and its sick-sounding turbo as well. Wasn't expecting to capture the two original remaining CNJ Geeps in passenger service, but luckily I did.
In hindsight, for certain shots, I should have been on the Track 2 platform because of all of the passengers exiting interfering in the shot, but I wanted to change things up a bit. Oh well. Lesson learned for next time.
Ultimately, I had a nice time so far and when it is sunny for a longer period of time, I will be more than happy to return, even though the lighting in Ramsey is sufficient for some stellar shots. I'm just stoked that I managed to get a decent blend of EMD engines the day I decided to venture to Ramsey. Furthermore, with that said, I have said plenty and the video pretty much speaks for itself. If you guys enjoyed the video, feel free to drop a like, comment, subscribe, share the video with everyone you know, and I will see you all on the next one!
