Sohyang has legions of fans all over the world who are convinced, like me, that she is the greatest female vocalist of our age. Sohyang gets nervous and a little chagrined when people tell her she is a better singer than Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston, but it is true. You just have to listen to any song they sing that is the same and it is obvious right away. (With no apologies to Rolling Stone magazine and their silly top 200 vocalists, either!) Sohyang's full lyric soprano voice shines like a diamond in a room full of lesser gems. And Sohyang's English is excellent. She has a perfect North American accent and doesn't reach all over the place trying to find the right word. It takes her maybe half a minute and she is right up to speed. Sohyang has been blessed by God with a very high IQ and speaks fives languages, as well as reading Greek. So we are dealing with a major talent here in many ways! 💖😉💘👌😎
Every one of her performances are gold but she did a recent CD tribute a couple of months ago which you should definitely check out. It’s a fancam so you get the full gist of her singing in a live setting. Anyways thanks man!!!
Sohyang can speak French, and can turn on the nasal French-Canadian sound that Celine has. If you listen for it, you'll hear her do it at some points, but turns it off elsewhere.
@@oahuhawaii2141 I've heard she can speak French because her university degree is in French Literature. Koreans have told me that she doesn't speak it very well anymore, probably because of a lack of opportunity to use it. I've never heard Sohyang sing anything in French.

But Sohyang said in an interview that she had to cancel out, but didn't state a reason. Probably the pneumonia she was always battling with in those years. So David Foster arranged for her to be in the eight concerts he had scheduled for Tokyo's Blue Note Club in late November and early December 2018.
