This arena has a capacity of 30k for basketball. The attendance for USA women group games were Japan - 13,040 Belgium - 25,044 & Germany 25,844 2 - Then the knockout stages for both men & women Quater Finals, Semi Finals & Finals were moved to the Bercy Arena in Paris which has a capacity of 15k but for basketball was set at 13k. Both men and women finals had a little over 12k in attendance for both men & women finals. So people dont go on and say that the women had bad attendance when that is clearly not the case. Except for one game, the women and men had around the same attendance at each USA game.
The harm in all this has already been done. There's no reversing that fact now but everyone should learn from this & in the future come up with a way to select the Olympic teams based on who is currently the best players available & not about any individual players getting a record gold medal. Taurasi had no business being on the 2024 Olympic team. Her performance clearly highlights that fact!!!!!!!!
