Thanks to you and your videos, I was just able to solo through arcade mode on gnarly with donnie. Thanks so much for showing off all of those incredibly helpful strategies for each enemy and boss! Donnie ftw! I'm going to need a bit more time to get as good as you and your donnie though. I finished with 4 lives but not a single game over.
Dude, i really love watching your runs ahahaha I'm learning or playing a game and here randomly appears once again one video where you demolish It completely from start to end. Amazing work
Hey, I just noticed something: this is Barry Gordon's (Donatello's and Bebop’s VA) first video game role ever! And it's his reprisal as Donnie and Bebop.
I wish they would remake Captain America and The Avengers like they did this game. I spent hours and a lot of quarters on both these games back in the day.
With his bo staff, Donnie's got the longest reach. Players using him should take advantage of that to hit enemies from a distance before they can hit back.
Little tip for those wanting an easier time on Chrome Dome; when Chrome Dome is in the main battlefield, he can summon up to three Foot Soldiers, usually placed in a triangle formation around him, and entering via descending punch. He also has access to his missile rain attack. When Chrome Dome is in the foreground of the fight, however, he can no longer perform the missile rain. In addition, two Foot Soldiers will respawn constantly from the left side of the arena, walking in and possibly attempting to jump-kick you. These two can stack with the three he summons from the previous phase if any were left over, for a maximum of five minions on screen. When Chrome Dome returns to the main battlefield and becomes vulnerable, any leftover Foot Soldiers self-destruct harmlessly. If you want an easier fight, just slow your roll a little bit when Chrome Dome moves to the foreground. Wait for the missile rain attack left over from his previous phase to end, dodge Chrome Dome's fists, then waste all but one of the Foot Soldiers. Fling Toss the last one to get Chrome Dome to return to the main battlefield and become vulnerable; new Foot Soldiers may attempt to walk in while you're doing the Fling Toss, but they'll explode as soon as Chrome Dome leaves the foreground, which buys you an extra second or two to whack Chrome upside his dome without worrying about Foot trying to kick you in the tail, since there's a minimum amount of time between respawns. The explosive barrel, when destroyed, has the same effect on Chrome Dome as hitting him with a Fling Tossed Foot Soldier, but it only appears if you eradicate all of the remaining minions from the last main battlefield wave, as well as two waves of foreground-phase respawns. Relying on the barrel instead of Fling Tossing a Foot gives Chrome Dome and his goons more time and opportunities to punch you in the schnoz, which usually isn't ideal. Once you realize he can't call in new mooks in the foreground phase until you've pounded all the old ones, Fling Tossing a victim without taking unnecessary damage becomes easy.
@@lordhave4420 Donatello has the best supers in the game, his back flip super lingers on screen for quite a while and his regular super pulls enemies in, his dash attack has a huge hit box and you can spam it, its especially good against the wall of the screen, his third attack hits enemies that are behind him as well and his slide hits twice.
Throwing enemies during the Chrome Dome fight is a trap, the devs actively nerfed throw invincibility for whatever reason. So, you'll take a ton of damage in that fight if you use the incredibly laggy Fling Toss. I've also found a bit of an exploit with Zorax, where attacking slightly from behind will constantly trigger his melee attack. Then you can just dodge and attack again; makes it a trivial fight. Otherwise, nice work doing a full character 1cc clear!
@@OhNoTheFace Yep, that's the first thing I thought of when encountering the fight. And immediately lost a life as my player got hit multiple times during throw recovery. I have to wonder if the team actually tested the encounter at all.
Playable Yojimbo and possibly fugitiod etc. would be cool… maybe a boss rush mode? I want improved combat mechanics, more diversity in play styles, and more combo attacks… but whatever we’ll see.
If you mean the quick charge, you just hold the attack on the 4th hit of your combo, or after the evasion attack. Those two points gives you a full charge almost instantly.
it would be cool to see a no death run with no special moves. i think a lot of players use the special moves as a crutch, especially in the harder levels.
Oh god, I seriously can't imagine how long the bosses will take to beat without special moves, definitely against Captain Zorax, Chrome Dome and the final bosses.
I've managed to beat gnarly arcade mode with Michelangelo and Leonardo, without any continues. I have yet to beat it without losing a life. I doubt I ever will. Michelangelo seems to be the easiest to win with, among the turtles. His combination of speech and range make him the easiest for me. I have yet to try it with the non turtle characters.
I'll give you credit for this but I wanna see you do this shit with 5 others on the screen with you. Can you still shine like that and not go down with 5 others?
🙏🏾Casey J for a MK12 or MK13 guest character🤞🏾 He was born to be in this franchise,EVERYTHING about him personifies badassery💯 From his unhinged personality to his motivations for practicing vigilantism. I can see his dialogues during character cut scenes as well as his moveset during battles being absolutely ruthless considering he'd use anything at his disposal to extremely damage his opponents. Making him a truly unpredictable combatant in his own right❕ Could even add April in the mix to assist in the battle against his foes, both physically during matches and verbally during CJ's cut scene dialogues too. #pleasemakeithappenboon🤞🏾 #letsmakeithappennrs🙏🏾
nah, he's a very close second however. in terms of best character use and viability, imo that's donnie, casey, leo, april, splinter, raph, and michaelangelo. Michaelangelo got seriously fucked. Here are the 2 main problems with him. His slide attack sucks, and once you do his air attack and bounce, you are locked into that without the ability to cancel out of it or do anything at all. You are stuck in that.
Holy cow! Donatello's dash attack is actually nutty. The hitbox is enormous and you can dash cancel it to just repeat it as a combo. It's really funny.
When I played the game on launch weekend I felt like he was the strongest Turtle by a fair margin.
