    impressed with your fly fishing skills. You should invest in an ultralight rod, in the small creeks like the one in this video, fishing is so much more fun, especially for those small brook trout.

      I do have an ultra light spinning rod and as well as a 3 weight fly rod that I used in the video

      @@Trails_trout lol, yeah, hadn't gotten that far as I noticed you with the fly rod at the start, I was thinking "man that must be difficult." Ultra lights are fun in those small streams.

      @@tauron1 do you fish for trout ?

    • @tauron1
      @tauron1 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@Trails_trout when I was younger it was almost exclusively, especially in small creeks and streams. In streams like the one you fished in, we would partially dam it up, to create larger and deeper pools so the trout can grow. Brook trout are easily the most fun to fish IMO. As I have gotten older, I pretty much stick to open water lake and river fishing for water eer is available, Bass, Pike, Lake Trout and late evening catfish.

    they're so tiny. I've never seen a brook trout that small

    • @Trails_trout
      @Trails_trout  9 месяцев назад +1

      Really, do you fish for stocked brook trout because these are small stream natives

      @@Trails_trout oh no I'm in Montana. I have to ride my bike or hike 6-7 miles from the trail head to the fishing zone on Rattlesnake Creek for brook trout. I've never seen anyone fishing up that far so the fish get much larger. I have seen bears and moose up there and heard of people seeing mountain lions ...it's literal wilderness. They ain't stocking nothing in my neck of the woods.
      But hey man catching little brook trout is way much mo betta than getting skunked!

      @@guitareputzthat sounds awsome. The fish are kinda small in this creek because it’s only like 10 feet wide
